Legion
Corner
' By JACK HOLLAND
Well Cbr radesT Just, a` few
notes with news from here
and there. One thing for sure
is that there is no let down in
the popularity of euchre as
the legion, had ,a . full house on
the recent stag card part y
held there. Alex Kerr and son
Bill walked off with top hon-
ors. Everything was well or-
ganized, but I along with
many others think that a
lunch should be provided even
if a collection is taken un for
this. This is the time of the -
year that a lot of people suf-
fer accidents and if you should
be unfortunate enough to
have one; don't forget that the
Legion will provide crutches,
c hospital--bed's;--wh
chairs and of course there is
no charge for this community.
service.
Soon the hockey program
will get underway for the
young lads in the local area
and for • ears now the Legion
has looked after this program
with supervised coaching and
financial aid. And lets not
forget our Centennial'projeci
and make an effort to clear
it up before the New Year,
Contact Allan Nicholson on
this as he is the chairman. •
This is about it for this
week comrades, make an ef-
fort to visit our sick and shut-
in veterans either at homeor
in the hospital, as a visit can
mean a lot to a person who is
confined. "At the going down
of the sun and in the morning,
we will remember them",.
