Mrs. John Turkheim provided
wedding music and accompan-
ied the soloist, Mrs. Don Ma-
honey, , Galt, who sang "The
Wedding Prayer" and "Because"
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride looked stun-
ning in her floor -length wed-
ding gown of white satapeau.
The bodice was highlighted by
a bateau neckline, elbow length
sleeves and empire cut waist.
Elegance was portrayed in the
gently controlled belled •skirt,
while the most delicate chantil-
ly lace touched with tiny seed
pearls accented the waist and
neckline. The main centre of
attention was focused on the de-
tachable -chapel train cascading
from a tailored bow at the back
neckline and was completely
silhouetted with the same lace
appliques. To complete • her
bridal outfit, the bride wore a
French pure silk illusion veil
caught up by a flattering ros-
ette headpiece. She carried a
cascade of gold and orange
roses.
Bridal attendants, Miss Mari-
lyn Galloway, London, maid of
honor, Miss Helen Payne, Port
Elgin, cousin of the bride, Miss
Sandra Merritt, St. Thomas, sis-
ter of the groom bridesmaids,
were identically gowned in
floor length gowns of peach
satapeau. Lace bodices featur-
ed elbovi length trumpet sleeves,
bateau necklines and empire
waists;' and were multi -colored.
The skirts were elegant sheaths,
To add a final touch, to their
ensemble, they wore matching
rosette headpieces accented by
cocktail veils in the peach.
They carried bronze spider
mums with moss green velvet
ribbon.
Mr. Gerald Minty, London,
was best man and Mr. Wayne
Payne, Hensall, brother of the
bride, and Mr. Don Mahoney,
Galt, ushered guests.
The wedding reception• was
held .in the church hall with a
three tier wedding cake center-
ing the head table, flanked with
candelabra and bronze and yel-
low mums:
For receiving the bride's mo-
ther wore a jade green braided
ribbon with peau de soie trim
jacket and dress. The groom's
mother chose a blue crepe
sheath dress and 'wore a corsage
of white andpink orchids ,res-
pectively, For travelling the
bride wore a two-piece white
wool suit with black accessories
with which she wore a corsage
of white and pink carnations.
The young couple will live at
El Toro, California.
The groom has just returned
from Viet Nam where he was
stationed . with, the .American
marines.

ton, exchanged wedding vows
in Brucefield United Church on
Oct. 8th, at 3 p.m. Rev. Donald
Stuart conducted the ceremony.
Candelabra and standards of
bronze and yellow mums dec-
orated the altar of the church.
The bride -is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James McNaugh-
ton, Kippen and the groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie
Funnell, St. Thomas.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor
length , gown of white peau ,de
soie wittilFrench guipuire lace
bodice in empire style with el-
bowlength sleeves. The .chapel
train w.as,acc.erited with lace ale.
pliques. Her 'silk illusion veil
was held with a coronet of
pearls and crystals over a fron-
tal layer of pearl edged lace
leaves. She carried a cascade
bouquet of orange delight
roses with stephanotis and ivy.
The bride was attended by

as maid of honor and brides-
maids were Miss Linda Edwards
Toronto, frliss Mary Oliver, Nap-
anee and Miss Jean Funnell of
St. Thomas. They wore identical
floor 'length dresses of imper-
ial green crystal charm and car-
ried crescent bouquets of bronze
poms.
Mr. Phillip Heard of London
was groomsman and ushers were
Mr. ,Bob McNaughton,. Kippen,
Mr. Arthur Funnell, Toronto
and Mr. Bob Harrington, St..
Thomas.
Organist for the occasiop was
Mr. Allan Harrington, St. Thom-
as and soloist was Mr. James
Chandler, Grimsby, who sang
"The Lord's Prayer" and "The
Wedding Prayer".
• The groom's gift to the bride
was a single strand of pearls.
A reception .was held in the

a powder blue brocade dress,
with black accessories and a
corsage of pink roses. The
groom's mother chose a dress
of teal blue lace over silk with
black 'accessories and a corsage
of pink carnations.
For a wedding trip to 'Pen-
nsylvania, the bride travelled
in a two-tone. green suit in a
double breasted style accented
with brown accessories and a
high pill box hat with irredes-
cent feathers in tones of green.
Her dark brown coat was im-
ported..French tissue.
Guests were present ,from
Toronto,. St.1 Thomas, Guelph,
Napanee, Grimsby, London, New,
Hamburg, Kingston, Tillsonburg,
Goderich, Burlington and Kapus-
kasing. Mr. and Mrs. Funnell
are�cesiding in Guelph.
