Grant" Mills, Ontario Street
United Church, Clinton.
Mr. and Mrs: Martin Van
Loon, RR'4 Seaforth,' are the
bride's parents and Mr. and
Mrs. John Lavis, Clinton are
the parents of the groom.
Mrs. Alice Stiles, Seaforth,
presided at the organ and ac-
companied the soloist Mrs.
Aitcheson, Seaforth, who sang
"Ave Maria"..
Escorted' by her father, the
bride wore an elegantly sim-
ple sheath wedding gown of
chantilly . lace and French
crepe. The chantilly+ lace bod-'
ice featured a batteau neck-
line, lilypoint sleeves end an
empire waist and the slim
sheath skirt was of crepe. A
watteau cathedral length
train of chantilly lace created
back interest. A cluster of
baby roses held her three -tier-
ed French si'Ik veil. and she
carried a crescent of orange
delight roses with trailing ivy.

sister of the bride, was maid
of honor. Linda Lavis, Clin-.
ton, a cousin of the groom and
topper and Mary Candis of Or:
illia, .visited on Saturday after-
noon with Misses Blanche and

Mary Van Loon, a sister of
the bride were bridesmaids,
and two more sisters of the
bride, Connie and Dianne Van.
Loon, were flowergirls.
All bridal attendants wore
floor -length gowns , of gold
peau desole styled with Bos-
ton sleeve's and round neck-
lines and matching pillbox
headdresses completed their
ensembles. The maid of honor
and the bridesmaids carried -
crescents . of bronze pours and
the flowergirls carried bronze
poms in little gold baskets.
Martin Van Loon and Mar-
tin Verberne were altar boys
and lighted the candles.
Paul Lavis, Clinton, was
best man for• his brother. Us-
hers were Gary Van Loon, of
Seaforth, brother of the'bride
and Steven Cooke, Clinton.
• Pink and white streamers
deoorated Clinton Legion Hall
where .the wedding d.in n e r
was served and an evening re-
ception was enjoyed. The
bride's mother wore a three-
piece knit suit of, peacock blue
with black hat and accessor-
ies and a corsage •of pink de-
light roses. The groom's moth-
er chose a cranberry red
three-piece suit trimmed With
a black beaver collar, a cran-
berry red feather hat, black
accessories and a corsage of
white stephanotis.
For travelling, the b"r i d e
wore a cherry red three-piece
suit, black accesories and a
corsage of white carnations.
Mr. and Mrs. Lavis will re-
side in Landon.
