Mr. Don Buchanan thanked them for coming. Mrs. George Mcllwain and Mary attended the Lane -Croz- ier wedding in Seaforth Sat- urday. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Preszca- tor visited Saturday evening with ],VIr. and Mrs. Ron Presz- cator, Ronda and Ricky, Salt - ford. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Scott and twins of Belgrave visited Sunday with `Mr. and Mrs. W J. Dale and girls. Mr. and Mrs. George Hog- gart visited with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Coleman of Ripley and called on Mr, and Mrs. Ross Mann and family of Bluevale. Mrs. Ella Jewitt and boys visited Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dow - son, Brenda, Bonnie, and John of Varna on Sunday. Later they were guests at a surprise party held in their honor at the home of their daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. George Viviam. The evening was spent m playing court whisk with prizes going to Gents high, Harold Coleman; Gents low, Ray McDonald; Ladies high, Mrs. Everett Kerslake; Ladies low, Denise Kerslake; lucky chair, Mrs. Russell Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Kerslake were the receipients. of many gifts. The 4-H Homemaking club "The Club Girl Entertains", met at the home of awn. Ger- ald Carey Thursday. The meeting opened with the roll call, "an exchange of material for our reference files" The name chosen for the club is the "Staffa Servi-Ettes". Mrs. Laing led a discussion on table service and manners. Mrs. Carey read a paper on sandwiches and , Mrs. Laing demonstrated making ribbon and'checkerboard Sandwiches. Wflliarn IL McLean of Hensall, died at South Hurons Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 15, following a long $.lines. Aages Logan McCloy • was born in 1883, the eldest daugh- ter of David and Jean Temple- ton McCloy, pioneer residents of Tuckersmith. In 1910 • she married William H. McLean and they lived on the McLean home- stead east of Kippen, until his death •in 1957. She was a char- ter . member of Kippen East W.I. and took an active part in all educational and welfare projects. A perfectionist in many aspects of housekeeping, her main interests were her home and her own community. This was a lasting concern and while deeply, appreciative of the kindness and cordial wel- come of her new associates, she took particular delight in the thoughtful attentions of her former neighbors. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Robert Simpson, a niece, Mrs. David Sangster, both of Hensall and G. Bernard Sand- ford of Kitchener, who was a welcome member of their household for mostof his ear- ly years. `•':" A life long Presbyterian, she, had transferred from Kippen to Carmel Church, Hensall, Here she was an interested member of the WMS° and Ladies' .Aid. Rev. J. C. Boyne, Exeter, con- ducted the funeral service from the Bonthron funeral home on Monday, Oct. 17, with interment in Hensall Union Cemetery. ' The pallbearers were: Messrs. Archie Hoggarth, Joe McLellan, Robert McGregor, Morley Coop- er, Winston Workman and Ron- ald McGregor.
