Meets
St. Patrick's CWL, Dublin,
met in the Parish Hall with the
president, Mrs. Lorne Cronin
presiding.
Mrs. Lorne Cronin and Mrs.
John Nagle reported on the Lit-
urgical Synod in Lyndon, which
they attended. The one thing
that impressed them the most
was the unison between priests,
nuns and lay people.
Mrs. L. Cronin who attend-
ed the family workshopat the
synod, said she was glad to
hear the new ideas on the
change of the Catholic Liturgy.
Mrs. Robert Engel, Mitchell,
gave the members a brief out-
line on liquid embroidery
which she does for a hobby.
She displayed some of the
work she had clone.
The St. Patrick's League has
purchased eight books for the
Parish lending library, three
of which were drawn for as
prizes. The winners took them
home to read and will return
them at the next meeting.

setting in Cromarty Presbyter-
ian Church for the wedding re-
cently of Margaret Ann Wal-
lace, Cromarty and Robert
James Parkinson, Mitchell: The
bride is the daughter . of. Mr.
and Mrs. John Wallace and' the
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. ,J. R. Parkinson of Mitchell.
Rev. J. Boyne officiated at the
ceremony. Miss Carol Ann Dow
was organist and Mrs. T. L.

one visitor. The topic and de-
votions led by Pastor Lowing,
included two films, "The Sal-
mon's Struggle for Survival”
and "Coronet at Night"

Given, in marriage by . her
father, the bride wore a formal
wedding gown fashioned• from
peau de soie, styled with bateau
neckline, and lily point. sleeves.
Re -embroidered alencon lacd
appliques accented the empire
line and front and hemline of
the "A" line skirt. The dress
featured a detachable chapel
train. She carried a cascade of
talsmin roses, stephanotis 'and
ivy.
She was attended by Mrs.
Shirley Elliott. of Essex as mat-
ron of honor and bridesmaids
were Miss Mary Parkinson, Lon-
don and Miss Margaret Russell,
London and junior bridesmaids
were Miss Deborah Wallace and
Miss Susan- Elliott. They were
gowned alike in French silk,
moss green plush velvet, styled
in empire line. The puritan
'sleeves and back 'panel were
matching peau de soie. Match-
ing -headpieces and bronze
mums completed their ensemble.
Groomsman was Mr. Joseph
Uniac, Guelph and guests were
ushered by Laverne Wallace,
Cromarty, and John Myles, Lon
don, cousin of the groom.
A reception was held in the
church parlours following the
ceremony. Tables were decorat-
ed with white tapers and
bronze mums. The bride's
mother received in a raspberry
red lace over taffeta dress,
with matching feather hat and
pink orchid corsage. The
groom's mother chose a blue
crepe dress with feather list in
shades of blue and a white or-
chid corsage.
The bride chose a camel hair
suit with brown leather acces-
sories and a corsage of bronze
feathered mums for travelling
on a wedding trip to northern
Ontario.

fined in Seaforth Community
Hospital for over a week.

wies visited with Mr. and Mrs.
Carl Mikel, RR .2, Mitchell, on
Sunday.

Friday night saw one of the
largest crowds this season at
the bingo. Sponsored by -the
Royal Canadian Legion, Branch
156, Seaforth, which was held
IA the Legion Hall.
Special games were won by
Mr. Gervais; Stan Watson, Mit-
chell; ,Mrs. Denomme, Clinton.
The third special ,was , divided
three ways. Door prizes went
to Mrs. Denomme, Clinton and
Wes Vanderburgh, Clinton.
