Wanda Doreen Moore and Ian matched ' their' dresses. They

united in marriage at Knox Pres-
byterian Church, Stratford, on
September 2nd, at 3 p.m. The
church was decorated with
white gladioli. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo-
rge F. Moore, Staffa and the
groom is the son of Mrs„Forbes
B. Fisher, Stratford and the late
Major' Fisher,
The Rev. W. Weir performed
the -ceremony and the organist
Miss Ann Severt, played the
"Wedding Hymn" and "0 Per-
fect Love".
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a white
floor -length Lageda` sheath of
French crepe. The sleeveless
bodice was covered with vien-
nese lace and the empire waist-
line accented with a tiny bow.
The matching floor -length cloak
of viennese lace with three-quar-
ter length sleeves emphasized
with ruffles and scalloped edg-
ing. Her headpiece consisted of
a cornet of pearls and cyrstals
over a frontal layer of pearl -
edged lace leaves, from which
fell her shoulder length veil of
bouffant illusion " veiling, She
carried a cascade of Miss M'Liss
sweetheart roses and stephorii-
tis.
Miss Betty Ann Barker, RR 3,
Mitchell, was the maid of hon-
or and Miss Linda Darlene
Moore, sister of the bride, Staf-
fa, was the bridesmaid. They
were gowned alike in floor=
length gowns of blush rose
georgette over taffeta and de-
tachable long see through
sleeves. The gowns were sim-
ple and classical with natural
waistline and fitted .bodice. A
row of buttons set off the back

St., Stratford, was ' the best
man and Mr. James McTavish,
Shakespeare the usher.
The wedding dinner was held
in the Brodhagerl Community
Centre, ,,which 'was decorated
with pink and white streamers
and pink wedding' -bells. The
bride's mother received in a
navy crepe A-line dress with
bodice ' covered with white an-
tique lace, matching navy acces-
sories and wore a corsage , of
red sweetheart, roses and steph-
onitis. The groom's mother
wore a chiffon over . taffeta
dress ' with two flowing panels
at the back in shades of me&
ium blue' accented with yellow
and blue flowers. Her accessor-
ies were in black and she wore
a corsage 'of golden garnet
sweetheart roses and stephoni-
tis.
For the --wedding trip, the,
bride wore a chiffon over •taf-
ed with flowers of green, pink
and blue ' shades, with a pink
marabou hat. Other accessories
were in black.
The couple will' reside at 60
Ruddington • Drive, Willowdale.
The bride is teaching at Page
Ave. Public School in North
York and the groom has ac-
cepted a position at the Insur-
ance Company of North Am-
erica.
Previous to the wedding, a
shower was held, at the home
of Betty' Ann Barker and a sec-
ond diein Staffa Hall, attend-
ed by neighbors and relatives.
Farm News
The white bean harvest has
been temporarily delayed by
damp weather. A considerable
acreage remains to be harvest-
ed'. '
Winter wheat crops have'ger-
minated veey�yy evenly and many
fields are'"hshowing green. In-
dications are that the wheat
acreage is up in Huron Coun-
ty.
Fall plowing and, silo filling
is progressing at full speed.
The first light frost occured
in some areas of the county on
Monday night.
