14th, after a, short illness in
St. Joseph's Hospital, London,
Mrs. Margaret M. White, the
former Margaret M. Cleary.
She was the wife of Frank P.
White, 867 Harrison Ave, Lon-
don. The superintendent of the
first Seaforth Hospital, she was
a graduate of St. Joseph's Hos-
pital, London. She leaves to
mourn her loss, her husband of
London, daughter Margarie,
Mrs. J. L. Haley of Brantford,
eight grandchildren, her ,,sis-
ter, Miss Catherine and two
brothers, J. J. Cleary and W.
J. Cleary, all of Seaforth. ,
The funeral took. place Sat-
urday morning, from St.
Michael's Church, London, with
Solemn Requiem Mass being
celebrated by Rev. Frank
White, of Windsor, assisted by
Rev. Robert Green and Rev. S.
E. White, with Father Flynn
delivering the sermon. In the
Sanctuary were Msgr. Harrigan,
Msgr. Wemple and several
priests.
The pallbearers were six
nephews, Patrick Cleary, Leo
White, Patrick White, Austin
White, Dan White and Frank
Haggerty, with John Cleary
assistant funeral director to
Hinnegan and O'Neil Funeral
Directors.

omemaking Club with the project, "The
Club Girl Entertains" met at
the home of Mrs. Donald Brown,
on Monday, with 15 members
present. Elected to the execu-
tive were: president, Phyllis
Ahrens vice-president, Karen
Leonhardt; secretary, Sheila
Deitz; treasurer, Donna Pushel-
berg; press reporter, Joanne El-
ligsen; telephone girls, Glenda
Dickison and Donna Leonhardt;
leaders, Mrs. Ken Elligsen and
Mrs. Donald Brown. The lead-
ers outlined the requirements
for the project, record books
and achievement day, working
procedures when cooking was
discussed as well as entertaining
in the home. Plans for a hos-
tess file were made Margaret El-
ligsen demonstrated measuring
accurately and Mrs. Elligsen
and Mrs. Brown showed methods
of floral arrangements.
On Saturday evening, Mr. and
Mrs. Reuben Buuck celebrated
their 40th wedding anniversary
at the community hall. Mrs.
Lorne Mueller wrote the address
which was read by Mrs. Martin
Dietz. Mrs. Lavern Wolfe pre-
sented the couple with a gift of
money. The family gave their
parents a pole lamp as an an -

niversary gift. The RQyalaires
supplied the music for dancing.

chener, Preston, Stratford, Mil-
verton, Seaforth, Mitchell aril

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rock,
Mrs. Mary Leonhardt accompan-
ied Mr. and Mrs. Herman'Leon-
hardt recently to visit Mir. and
Mrs. Milton Weber 'and Mr. and
Mrs. Eugene Russell at Hanover.
The Ladies' Guild of St.
Thomas' Church met at the
Rowcliffe cottage, following a
pot luck supper.
Mrs. Gerald Snowden, the pre-
sident, presided and opened
the meeting with prayer.
After comments on the quilt
top, a quilting bee was planned
with Mrs. George McGavin and
Mrs. Norman Scoins in charge.
The annual fall rummage
sale date was set for Oct. 22.
Court wist followed with
prizes going to Mrs. R. J. Spit-
tal and Mrs. D. Netzke.
