He stressed the need for mere
education. Our survival depends
upon what we can do with the
human brain and is called edu-
cation. The next few years for
these young people are very
important and sets their pat-
tern for life. They will learn
to look for a meaning rather
than learning rules. '
Prof. Scott said he hoped
that they would all get to the
point, or near to it, when they
would say, "Am I glad there is
a great deal more to learn to-
morrow,"
Carol Anne Doig thanked
Prof. Scott.
Musical selections were play=

al librarian, although the court-
ty librarian must have a`d.'egree;
opting ofit would be possible, if
enough, libraries came in, ser-
vice might be sold to a munici-
pality. Any books a local lib-
rary actually owned, would be
its own.
Wilmer Hardy, Colborne,
said his township did not have
a local library and it seemed un-
fair that it should get a request
for a report.
Mr. Berry stated that County
Council would be guided by
local councils.
Stewart Procter, Morris, ask-
ed who paid the local librarians.
Mr. Berry replied that she
would be paid by the County of
Huron, probably on an hourly
rate.
R. R. Jewell, Goderich, quer-
ied if the Town of Goderich de-
cided to stay out at first, could
it come in later without penal-
ty.
Mr. Berry replied in the af-
firmative. Goderich would pay
at the county level.
Harold Robinson, Howick,
asked if the local board could
keep any cash on hand. The ans-
wer was "yes." -
.All requests must be in the
hands of the County Clerk by
October 20, final decision to be
made at the November session
of County Council.
