LOGAN COUNCIL
The 1966 assessment roll ac-
cepted by Logan township Coun-
cil shows land assessment of
$1,473,358, building assessment
$2,025,075, for a totg1 of land
and buildings of $3,498,433,
with a bushland excemption of
$23,200, plus business of
$32,425. The total assessment is
$3,507,658, up $11,000 from last
year. Population 2,219, is
down 13.
The report of the Schoonder-
woerd Drain was read and pro-
visionally adopted with the
Clerk instructed to prepare a
cash by-law. By-laws setting the
1966 rates and three tile drain-
age loans were passed.
Council having received 'a pe-
tition for the repair and 'im-
provement of the H. Gethke and
F. Horn Award Drains, the
Clerk was instructed to notify
James A. Howes O.L.S., to ex-
amine the drains and report
Final inspection reports being
-received 'on the Kerr, Winter-
ingham, Leggatt and the Grey
Branch of the Northwest
Drains, all accounts were or-
dered paid.
Road accounts totaling
$25,086.46 and general accounts
amounting to $9,807.17, were
ordered paid. The meeting ad-
journed to meet Oct. 6th, at
7:30 p.m.
