Friends Honor
Bride- Elect
Friends held a shower in
the Orange Hall, Seaforth re-
cently in honor of Miss Bar-
bara Coleman, bride -elect of
this week. The bride, her
groom's mother and grand-
mother, grandmother and the
mother were presented with
corsages and escorted to dec-
orated chairs by Connie Ec-
kert, Pauline Dolmage, Kaye
McCowan, Helen Elliott and
Freda Kerslake. Mary Ecker
conducted several contests,
the winners being Mrs. Wal-
ter McClure, Mrs. Jack Mc-
Iiwain, Mrs. Jack Carter, Jan-
neke Van Rooijen, karma Agar
and Kaye McCowan. The pro-
gram consisted of a •solo, "I
Love You Truly" by . Mrs,
Jack . McIlwain, who accom-
panied herself on the piano;
humerous readings .by Mrs.
Wilfred Coleman, piano duet
by Anita and Joyce Harrison,
A bride's book was made by
Janneka Van Rooijen and
Kaye McCowan. Miss Judi
Thompson read an address to
the bride and many lovely
gifts were presented to her.
Barbara thanked everyone
for a lovely evening and all
sang "For She's a Jolly Good
Fellow".

August 27 at 3:00 p.ni., Beat-
rice Dianne Stoll was united
in marriage to John William
E 11 i o t t. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed-
gar Stoll, RR 3 Kippen and
the groom is the son of Mrs.
William Elliott, Thames Road,
Exeter.
Rev. Edgar Roulston per-
formed; thedouble ring cere-
mony.
The bride, given in marri-
age by her father, wore a
chantilly type lace wedding
gown featuring a b a f f ea u
neckline with lilypoint sleeves
and a fitted natural 'Basque-
waist giving way to a tradi-
tional style bouffant skirt fea-
turing a chapel train. A pearl
and crystal crown held the
three -tiered elbow length veil.
She carried a white bible
crested with yellow roses.
The bride was attended by
Shirley Elliott, Exeter and
Donna Stoll, RR 3 Kippen as
bridesmaids and Julie Chap
pel, London as maid of honor.
They wore formal length
gowns in daffodil yellow fea-
turing crepe sheath skirts and
a lace bodice styled with scoop
necklines and bishop sleeves.
W hi t e wedding -ring head-
pieces completed their cos-
tumes. They carried cascades
of whitechrysanthemums
with yellow tulle.
Gerald Cooper, RR 1 Exeter,
was g r o•o m s m a n and the
guests were ushered by John
Stoll Woodstock and Ross El-
liott, gxeter.
The organist, Barbara Swan
.layed traditional wedding

the soloist, Miss Joan Sinclair,

A reception was held in the
church parlour following the
service. -
For her travelling cos-
tume the bride chose a yellow
boucle suit with black access-
ories and a corsage of peach
roses.
The couple will reside in
Exeter.

St., St. Thomas. Miss McNaughton. is a graduate of the Uni-
versity of Guelph and of the dietetic internship course, Vic-
toria Hospital, London. Mr. Funnel/ is a civil engineering
