home last Thursday by jet from
Romewith a group of teachers
from Hamilton district who
were on a world tour. They
spent several days , in Japan,
China, India, Egypt and Greece.
They also spent a few days in
Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand,
Cambodia, Kashmir, Iran and

Linda Moore, and a cousin,

on a trip to Cochrane on the
week end to visit John Scott.

Campbell Kyle, Hamilton, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Byran Kyle,
Hewett, at Zion East United
Church, Aug. geth, in a double
• ring ceremony performed by
Rev. Dr. Ross Crosby, amid a
setting of baskets of white glad-
ioli and mums, and candelabra.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a formal
gown of white peau de sole,
with empire waist, scoop neck-
line and puritan sleeves, covered
in lace. Her chapel train, edged
in lace fell from a small bow in
back. Her petal headpiece held
a three -tiered veil of silk illu-
sion. She carried a cascade of
white roses, stephanotis and
mums.
Mrs. Ken Welker, London; sis-
ter of the bride, was matron of
honor. Her gown was a crystal
blue crepe, formal dress, with
empire waist and lace bodice
with scoop neckline and elbow
length sleeves, matching shoes
and bow headpiece. She carried
a cascade of rose coloredcar-
nations and roses and white M-
lles. Bridesmaid e were Mrs.
Peter Kruuck, Scarborough;
arid Suzanne Kyle, London, sis-
ter of the groom, who '.were
gowned identical to the matron
of honor.
Eric ,Mousseau, Hensall, was
best man, and Steve Kyle, Hen-
sel], and Doug Brintnell, Lon-
don, ushered guests.
Mrs. Charles Gowan, Granton,
provided traditional wedding
music and accompanied the sol-
oist, Mrs. -Jimima McRae, of
Rexdale, 'Who sang "The Wed-
ding Prayer" and "The Lord's
Prayer".
The brides mother chose a
blue green brocaded dress with
black accessories and a white
carnation and stephanotis cor-
sage. The groom's mother wore
a pink lace dress with three -
matching pink feather hat with
quarter length lacecoat and
black accessories and corsage
of rose colored carnations and-
roses.
The wedding dinner was held
in the church parlours with the
reception and dame in Zurich
Community Centre.
For travelling into Eastern
Ontario and United States, the
bride donned a lime green suit
with black accessories and a
green orchid corsage. The
couple will reside in Hamilton
where the groom is on the

Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Kirk, Port
Stanley. Lorraine returned
home with them after vaca-
tioning for two months with
her grandparents.
Mrs. Lloyd Lovell is a
patient in St. Joseph's Hos-
pital, London.
Mr. "and Mrs. W. J. F. Bell
and Mrs. Cameron Richard -
eon Hensall, are vacationing
for two weeks •with relatives
in Boston and their son and
daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs.

lawn at the home of Betty Ann
Barker in honor of Wanda
Moore.
The afternoon Was spent
playing contests and Linda
Moue assisted Wanda in open-
ing the gifts received from
Wanda's classmates.

by Betty Ann Barker, Mrs. I:Yon-
ne Harris and Beth Way.

John Dunnell entertained at a
trousseau tea honoring her
daughter, Mrs. Dunnell, Barbara
and Mrs. Kyle received the
guests.
Pouring tea were Mrs. Ernest
Marriott, great aunt of the
bride; Mrs. T. Kyles__ Hensall,
grandmother of the groom and
Isabell Dunnell and Mrs. M.
Dann, aunts ef the bride. Ser-
ing were Ann Thomson, UM
T. Henry, Marlene Baker and
Mrs. J. Baker. Displaying the
trousseau were Mrs. ICen 'Walk-
er and Suzanne Kyle. In the
gift room were Sandra Dunnell
and Nanpy Kyle, Hensall. The
kitchen helpers were Mrs. Har-
old Stevens, Mrs. Harvey Dun-
nell and Mrs. Charles Gowan,
The bride was also honored
at several showers. The staff
of William Ttedway School in
Scarborough entertained with
a miscellaneous shower. Hos-
tesses for other miscellaneous
showers were Mrs. Ken Walk-
er at her home in London; Mrs.
Elmer Stevens and Mrs. Nelson
Sweitzer at the former's home
in Rannoch; Eighth Line Com-
munity and Prospect Hill In-
stitute at 'Prospect Hill; Suz-
anne and Nancy Kyle at the
Iatter's home in Hensall; and
Isabell Dunnell at her home
in St. Marys.
