Foster, Charles Mickle returned home last Thursday by jet from Romewith a group of teachers from Hamilton district who were on a world tour. They spent several days , in Japan, China, India, Egypt and Greece. They also spent a few days in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Kashmir, Iran and Italy. Charles reported that the Remember! Karen Miller holidayed last week with her grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Willard, Exeter. Mr. and Mrs. John Miller and family, attended a Dear- ing reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. WillardaEx- eter, SieridaY. News of Brucefield Mts. Calwell, Bedford, Eng- land, is visiting .with her niece Mrs. Elgin Thompson and Mr. Thompson. Mrs. Calwell and Mr. and Mrs. Thompson spent a few days in the States. Mrs. Victor Hargreaves and Greg visited for a few days with friends at Niagara Falls. Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Layton spent a few days at the cot- tage of 1VIrs. C. McClinchey. Mr. Wm. McClennigan, of Waterloo, and Mrs. Wellings, Winghain were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Swale over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Mac Wilson spent the week end. in Tober- mory and Muskoka. Dr. Ross Crosby, amid a setting of baskets of white glad- ioli and mums, and candelabra. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a formal gown of white peau de sole, with empire waist, scoop neck- line and puritan sleeves, covered in lace. Her chapel train, edged in lace fell from a small bow in back. Her petal headpiece held a three -tiered veil of silk illu- sion. She carried a cascade of white roses, stephanotis and mums. Mrs. Ken Welker, London; sis- ter of the bride, was matron of honor. Her gown was a crystal blue crepe, formal dress, with empire waist and lace bodice with scoop neckline and elbow length sleeves, matching shoes and bow headpiece. She carried a cascade of rose coloredcar- nations and roses and white M- lles. Bridesmaid e were Mrs. Peter Kruuck, Scarborough; arid Suzanne Kyle, London, sis- ter of the groom, who '.were gowned identical to the matron of honor. Eric ,Mousseau, Hensall, was best man, and Steve Kyle, Hen- sel], and Doug Brintnell, Lon- don, ushered guests. Mrs. Charles Gowan, Granton, provided traditional wedding music and accompanied the sol- oist, Mrs. -Jimima McRae, of Rexdale, 'Who sang "The Wed- ding Prayer" and "The Lord's Prayer". The brides mother chose a blue green brocaded dress with black accessories and a white carnation and stephanotis cor- sage. The groom's mother wore a pink lace dress with three - matching pink feather hat with quarter length lacecoat and black accessories and corsage of rose colored carnations and- roses. The wedding dinner was held in the church parlours with the reception and dame in Zurich Community Centre. For travelling into Eastern Ontario and United States, the bride donned a lime green suit with black accessories and a green orchid corsage. The couple will reside in Hamilton where the groom is on the News of Kippen - Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kirk, and Paul spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Kirk, Port Stanley. Lorraine returned home with them after vaca- tioning for two months with her grandparents. Mrs. Lloyd Lovell is a patient in St. Joseph's Hos- pital, London. Mr. "and Mrs. W. J. F. Moore A shower was held on the lawn at the home of Betty Ann Barker in honor of Wanda Moore. The afternoon Was spent playing contests and Linda Moue assisted Wanda in open- ing the gifts received from Wanda's classmates.
