Flett-Jewitt Candelabra and white glad- ioli decorated the sanctuary at Ontario Street United Church, Clinton for the Au- gust 27th wedding -of Jean Elizabeth Flett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. K. G. Flett, of Clinton and Donald Wilbur Jewitt, son of Mrs. Jewitt and the late Mr. Wilbur Jewitt, RR 1 Clinton. Rev. Grant Mills officiated at the ceremony. Given in marriage by her father the bride chose a floor« length wedding gown of white crepe sateen. The bodice was of chantilly lace and featured scooped neckline, elbow length sleeves and an empire waist. Elegance was portrayed in the gently controlled sheath skirt, fitted at the princess waist. The detachable chapel train cascaded from a tailored bow at the waist. A. French pure silk illusion veil was caught up by a nillbox head- piece enhanced by a bow at the back. She carried a cres- cent bouquet of pink delight roses and ivy. , Maid of honor, Miss Bar- bara Flett, sister of •the bride, Friends Honor Bride - Elect Joan Williams, bride elect of September was honored at a shower held at the home of Mrs. Julia Acheson. contests were conducted by Loretta Skin and Isabel Rau. The groom's mother wore a dress of turquoise brocade with matching accessories and a corsage of pale pink roses.
