Barbara Ann Turnbull ex-
changed wedding vows with
James Douglas Fritz in Duff's
'United Church, Walton.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. William J.
Turnbull, RR 2 Brussels, and
the groom is the son of Mr.
and 1Vfrs. Albert J. Fritz, RR 1
Listowel.
Rev. Arther Higginbotham
officiated before a setting of
tall tapers in aluminum, white
gladioli and blue tinted car-
nations and mums. Robert
Cunningham, as soloist, sang
"My World" and "This is our
Day" accompanied by organ-
ist, Mrs. Harvey Brown.
' Given in marriage icy her
father, the bride chose a slim
skirt empress. gown of pure
white silk organza with a
scooped neckline. F r enc h
chantilly lace adorned the el-
bow length sleeves and waist-
line. The full cardinal detach-
able panel :neckline fell to a
chapel train. A matching or-
ganza lace wedding band held
her veil. She carried a cas-
cade of red roses.
Irene Douwbledee, Kitchener,
was the maid of honor and the
bridesmaids were Jane Treble
of Clinton and Janet Turn-
bull, Guelph. They wore aqua
mist floor length gowns of
silk faille with overlay lace
and chiffon overskirt w i t h.
empire waistlines. They car-
ried a cascade of pink roses.
Patti Brown, Elliott Lake was
the. flower girl,
Groomsman was Don Fritz
and the guests were ushered
by Byron Fritz, RR 1 Listowel
and Ron Uhler, Burlington.
Danny Brown, Elliott Lake,
was the ring bearer.
For her wedding trip to the
Laurentians, the bride chose
a blue wool skirt with three-
quarter length sleeves trim-
med with fur. She wore mat-
ching shoes and bag and white
" hat and gloves with a corsage
of red roses.
Guests attended the recep-
tion at the Legion Hall, Brus-
sels from Summerside, P.E.I.,
Detroit, Orillia, Elliott Lake,
.Port Arthur, Preston, Inger-
sol, Toronto, London, Grand
Bend, Kitchener, Lucknow,
Barrie, Waterloo, Hanover,
Port Colborne, Stratford, Pal-
merston, Niagara Falls, New-
market, Guelph, Thornbury,
Brampton, Seaforth, Clinton,
Wroxeter, Kincardine, Listo-
wel, Walton and Goderich.
. The couple will reside on
Meadowbrook farm in Grey
Township.
Prior, to her marriage, the
bride-to-be was honored at a
shower in the Walton Hall.
Marilyn McDonald and Lois
Houston received the guests
and were in charge of the
guest book.
The giftswere in charge of
Leona--MCDonald, Marjorie
Fraser, Karen McDonald, Car-
glyn Fraser and Dianne Fra$-
er, Joyce Van Vliet acted as
M.C. for a short program. A
humerous reading was given
by Bonnie Uhler. Taking part
in a number entitled "This is
your Life. Do you Remem-
ber",
were -Chris Turnbull,
Margaret Peters, Glenna Hou-
ston, Anne Oldfield and Irene
Doubledee.
The bride-to-be, her moth-
er' and the groom's mother
were asked to come forward.
Lo,is Houston read the address
and the bride-to-be was as-
sisted in the opening of the
gifts by Jame Treble, Chris
Turnbull, Irene Doubledee
and Marjorie Brown.
Also prior 'to the wedding,
Mrs. Turnbull entertained at
a trousseau tea in honor' of
her daughter. She received
the guests along With her
daughter and Mrs. Fritz.
Patti Brown was in charge
of the guest book and Doreen
Baker directed the guests. The
trousseau was displayed by
Jane Treble and Irene Dou-
bledee. Shower gifts were dis-
played by Mrs. Laidlaw Stra-
ehan, Surnmerside, and wed-
ding gifts by Mrs. "Douglas
Brown, Elliott Lake, and

MR$. FRANK HUTCI•IINGS ,.
Mrs. Frank Hutchings, Toron-
to, formerly of Hibbert town-
ship, died suddenly in Toronto
General Hospital,
' She was, the former Nellie
Ryan, daughter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Patrick Ryan of Hib-
bert.
She is survived by her hus-
band who resides in Toronto,
and two sisters, Mrs. John
(Mary) Evans, Goderich, and
Mrs. Tom (Anne) Burns, Eg-
mondville.
She rested at the W. T.
Cleary funeral home until July
19th, when the .body was re-
moved to St. Patrick's Roman
Catholic, Church, Dublin, where
Requiem high mass was held.
Burial wasin the church ceme-
tery.
Rev. Father Durand recited
the prayers at the grave. The
pallbearers were Maurice Ryan,
Jack Ryan, Pat Ryan, of Dub-
lin, Jack Evans, Goderich, all
nephews of the deceased, Matt
Coyne and Joe Burns,

Guests were served in the
afternoon by Mrs. ,George
Habkirk, Ingersoll, Mrs. D. S -
Lawless, Burlington, and Mrs.
John Turibull, Seaforth, aunts
of the bride. In the evening
Mrs. ,Jan Van Vliet, Brussels',
and Mrs. Stanley Berfelz, Lis-
towel, served. Assisting in the
kitchen were Mrs, Andrew
Turnbull, Mrs. Mac Oldfield
and Mrs. Doubledee. .
The tea table was covered
with a white crochet table
cloth over blue, centered with
the wedding cake and silver
candlebra, blue candles, and
white mums.
Pouring tea were the grand-
mothers of the bride, Mrs. Sel-
wyn Baker and Mrs. Wilbur
Turnbull.

Mitchell West 4-H Dairy
Club met at the holne of Mr.
and Mrs. Fritz Glouser, Tues-
day evening. Four cattle were
judged with members giving
their reasons to Doug Avery.
Gary Kemp opened with the
4-H Pledge and Elizabeth
Fansen gave the secretary's
report. A quiz was conducted
with Byron Morris and Dal-
ton Malcolm in charge. It was
decided to have an exhibit at
Mitchell Fair. The members
were reminded of the 4-H
Demonstration Night at Mit-
chell District High School on
August 19th and Mitchell Fair
on September 3. A joint
roeeting with Mitchell East at
Gordon Herbarth's is set for
August 25th.
Mrs. Reg Elliott and baby
son have returnedlhome from
South Huron Hospital.
Mrs. Nelson Hunkin, Tees -
water, visited on Wednesday
with Mrs. Cliff Miller.
Francis Scott holidayed this
past week with Mr. and Mrs.
Tom Colquhoun.
Mrs. Garter Kerslake and
Mrs. John Templeman attend-
ed a . District Director's meet-
ing at the home of Mrs. Stew-
art Shire on Tuesday evening.
