Ruth Anne Ennis 'and David
Arthur Freethy at a candle-
light ceremony in Duff's Unit-
ed Church, ,Walton, last Fri-
day evening August 12.
The chUrch was decorated
with standards of white glad-
ioli and candelabra.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas En-
nis, Walton and the groom is
a son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew
Freethy, Toronto..
Mrs. Jack McLlwain, Sea -
forth played traditional organ
music and accompanied Mrs.
Graeme MacDonald of Brus-
sels as she sang "The Lord's
Prayer",
The bride who was given in
marriage by her father enter-
ed the church wearing a white
pure silk faille floor length
gown styled with an empire
waistline. The bodice and bell
sleeves were made• entirely of
'imported Swiss lace. A Mat-
ching detachable handkerchief
tiara' fell from the shoulders.
The gown was accentuated by
a simple A-line skirt. Her
bouffant shoulder length veil
was held by g headpiece of
roses accented with tiny seed
pearls and she carried a bou-
quet of red sweetheart. roses:
Mrs. Ronald -Ennis, oront
was her sister -in -lane's matron
of honor wearing a floor
length gown of . powder blue
sata peau, also with empire
waistline accentuated With a
bow, scooped neck andsinall
sleeves. The sheath skirt gent-
ly curved to a slit at the bot-
tom front, finished with a
bow. The back was completed
with a sash and bow. Her
headpiece was a matching
tulle cocktail length veil. She
carried a bouquet of pink
sweetheart roses.
The best man was Stewart
Culligan of Toronto. Chris
Croissan and Ronald Ennis,
brother of the bride, both of
Toronto ushered the guests.
The reception was held at
the home of the bride where
the house was decorated in
colors of blue' and white. The
bride's mother receivgd the.
guests wearing a three niece
suit of piale pink lace -e -lure
arnel and cotton knit with
matching hat, white accessor-
ies and a corsage of white
baby roses.
The groom's mother wore a
dress of deep turquoise chif-
fon with beaded trimming,
matching hat and light beige
accessories. She also wore a
corsage of white baby roses.
The bride's grandmother,,
Mrs. F. H. 1Viiller rage 93, also
greeted the guests wearing a
flowered dress and corsage of
white carnations.

and pink gladioli in Duff's
United Church, Walton, Shir-
ley Elizabeth Bolger and Wal-
ter Robert Lillycrop, London,
exchanged wedding vows on
August 6th at 3:30 p.m.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bolger
of Walton and the groom is
the son of Mr. and. Mrs. Irwin
Lillycrop, Hamilton.
Rev. Arthur Higginbotham
performed the double ring
ceremony. Soloist Marilyn
Thompson, Wingham, sang
"O Perfect 'Love" and "The
Wedding Prayer" accompan-
ied bf'Marjorie Papple, cou-
sin of the •bride.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor
length gown of white peau de
soie. Thebodice was high-
lighted by a bateau neckline,
empire waistline and bell
sleeves The A-line skirt with
extra fullness at the back cas-
caded to a sweep train. The
bodice and sleeves were en-
hanced with delicate Swiss
guipure lace. Her French silk
illusion fingertip veil was
caught by a rosette headpiece.
She carried pink roses.
The bride was attended by
her sister, Jean Bolger, as
maid of honor, and brides-
maids, Mrs. Ada Hassnoot,
Gorrie, and Mrs. Doreen Lil-
lycrop, sister-in-law of the
groom, London.
They wore floor length
dresses of mint green peau de
sole with scooped necklines,
short sleeves and empire
waistlines, which were touch-
ed with a band of guipure
lace and tiny bows. Trains fell
from the waist. They wore
mint green rosette headpieces
with cocktail veils. They car-
ried crescent bouquets of
white mums.
The flour-er girl, Cheryl
Lillycrop, niece of the groom,
wore a 'khort white crystal
charm dress with lace trim
and cummeehund of the same
material as the bridesmaids'
dresses. She carried a nose-
gay of white mums and pink
rose.
Brother of the groom, John
of London. was the grooms-
man, and the ushers'were two
other brothers, Larry of Wal-
ton, and Edward of Hamilton.
Brian Lillycrop, nephew of
the groom, was the ringbear-
er-
At the reception in the
church parlour, the mother of
the bride received in a pale
pink crepe 'dress with a lace
top, matching hat, white ac-
cessories arid a pink carnation
corsage. The groom's mother
chose a blue silk linen dress
with matching jacket, white
accessories and a corsage of
white carnations.
•For the wedding trip the
bride wore a blue wool boucle
suit with black accessories
and a pink rose corsage.
The couple will reside on
Beckworth Avenue in Lon-
don.
Classified ads pay dividends.
Swiss embroidery. The bodice
and sleeves had matching del-
icate lace appliques. She also
wore a fingertip veil and ros-
ette headpiece. She carried a
bouquet of pink roses and
stephanotis.
The maid of honor, Ruth'
Hodgins, Milton, wore a tur-
quoise chiffon floor length
dress in an empire style with
a bodice of white, lace. She:
wore a matching headdress
and carried a crescent bouquet
of white shasta chrysanthe-
mums.
Jim Alexander, brother of
the bride, Toronto, was the
groomsman. The guests were
ushered by David Alexander,
another brother of the bride,
Kincardine.
For her travelling costume
the bride ehose a two piece
suit of deep rose lace over
taffeta with navy accessories
and a corsage of white roses;,
Guests attended the recep-
lion in the church • p a r l o u r
from Toronto, Webbwood,
London, Copper Cliff, Balti-
more, Waterloo and Parkhill.
The couple will reside in
Sault Ste. Marie.

During a recent electrical
storm, lightning struck the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Johns damaging the electric
and telephone wiring.
