OBITUARY
MUEL GEORGE DAVIS
Samuel George Dayis, 71, of
Exeter, died there Sunday at
South Huron Hospital,
He is survived by two sisters
in Seaforth, Mrs. Jack (Alice)
Hotham, and Mrs. George (Car
rie) McGavin., Also surviving
are his wife the. former Agnes
Alexander; a son, Harold, Kirk
ton; a daughter, Mrs, Lloyd
(Jean) Hearn, Exeter; two oth-
er sisters, Mrs. Edward Hotham,
Delaware; Mrs. Thomas Penrice,
Holland, Man.; and three grand-
children.
Funeral services were held
Tuesday, at 2:80 p.m, at the R,
0. Dinney funeral home, Exe-
ter. An Orange Lodge memorial
service was held St thefuneral
home; Monday night. Burial
was in Exeter cemetery.

Given in marriage by her'
father, the bride chose a floor
length gown of Bemery or-
ganza over taffeta in the em-
pire style. The bodice was
made of alencon lace and
featured a .scalloped ,neckline
and lily point sleeves. The
highlight of the gown was
watteau train of organza com-
pletely edged in matching
lace and topped with two
small bows at the shoulders.
Her four tiered tulle veil was
held by a crown of baby seed
pearls and crystal droplets.
She carried yellow roses and
ivy.
Mrs. Arnold Taylor, sister
of the bride, RR 1 Brucefield,
was ma r n of honor. The
bridesmaids were Mrs. John
Brown, sister of the groom
RR 3 Walton, and Linda Pap-
ple, RR5 Seaforth. The
bridesmaids wore floor length
gowns of white Swiss lac e
over lilac taffeta in a sheath
style. The dresses had scoop-
ed necklines and short
sleeves. The highlight of the
dresses were detachable over
skirts of lightly flowing lilac
chiffon. Their headpieces for-
med a lilac three tiered bow
effect with pearls and four
tiers of veil. They , carried
bouquets of yellow shasta
mums. .
Flower girl Cathy Coleman
was dressed similar to the
bridesmaids. She carried a
nosegay of , yellow Shasta
alums
Groomsman was brother of
the groom, Gordon Gross,
RR 1 Auburn. The guests were
ushered by Robert Scott, bro-
ther of the bride, RR 1 Sea -
forth, and John' Brown, RR 3
Walton. A nephew of the
bride; Ronnie Taylor was
ring bearer.
The soloist was Dianne
Henderson, who sang "O Per=
fect Love", "The Wedding
Prayer" and "How Great
Thou Art'.' accompanied by
Mrs. John Henderson.
At the reception in the
church parlour, the bride's
mother received in a blue
French lace dress with match-
ing jackt and white access-
ories •ant corsage of pink
roses. The unt of the groom,

dress with a white - back-
ground . and ,blue and white.

ies. She also 'wore a corsage
of pink roses. '
For, the wedding trip to

the bride chose a pink linen

and a corsage of white car-
nations.
The couple will reside at

a duet by .Vanda and Evelyn
Storey; readings by Mrs.
Bruce Coleman , and Linda
Papple; duet by Donna and
Darlene Henderson; and sev-
eral contests .
Marguerite, Mrs. Scott and
Mrs. Brown, the groom's sis-
ter, were called to the front
and presented with corsages.
