Rev. :John Boyne officiated at the ceremony which united the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gardiner, RR 1, Cromarty and the daughter _of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Walker also of Cromarty. The bride's gown featured' lily point- sleeves with appli- ques of lace motifs. The sabrina neckline was outlined in lace motifs as well as the pleat in the back of the skirt. The train of double-edged •lace fell from under a bias band across the shoulders. The circled head- •'. dress with a cascade of tulle to the shoulder completed her costume. The bride was given away by her father. She car- ried a Bible crested with red roses and trailing ivy. The' Matron of honor was Mrs. Jack McGhee, London and bridesmaids were Shirley Gar- diner, Cromarty, Grace Clifton, Brucefield and Linda Currie, Dorchester. Train bearer was David Hulley, Winthrop; flow- er girl, Judy McGhee, London; and ringbearer, Robbie Gardin- er. Murray James Finlayson, Exeter, was groomsman and the guests were ushered by -Ken- • • • neth Walker, Exeter, and Jim Hocking, Cromarty. The matron of honor wore a mauve, street length gown in a princess style line with. match- ing lace bolero and mittens. The headdress was a matching circlet of taffeta and tulle. The bride cose yellow and gteen for her bridesmaids and flower girl. Their gowns were similar in style to the matron of hon- or's. Soloist Mrs. Robert Hulley, Winthrop, sang "0 Perfect Love" and "The Wedding Prayer" ' accompanied by Mrs. George »Vivian, Staffa, on the organ. The wedding dinner was ser- ved in the church parlor and a reception was held in Staffa. The bride's mother chose a dress with cocoa lace over pink satin with pink accessories. The mother of the groom wore a light blue lace sheath dresS with matching long coat arid white accessories. For the wedding trip to the Eastern provinces,-- the bride wore a pink crepe sheath dress with a nylon crepe jacket and white accessories. Guests attended from Crom- arty, London, Dorchester, Put- man, Exeter, Alsia Craig, Kirk - ton, Seaforth, Parkhill, Bruce - field, Staffa, Dashwood Mitchell and Woodstock. New Meat Market Opens in Seaforth A store 'ork Seaforth's Main Street, which for 50 years ser- ved as a butcher shop will re- vert again to the meat business when Rudy's Meat Market opens Thursday morning.' The store was occupied by J. W. Beattie and later by W. L. Whyte who operated butcher shops until ,a few years 'ago when it was used by Sta en's ovvers. Rudy's Meat Market is opera- ted by two partners, Ray Rudy and Bill Laverty who for sev- eral . years have successfully carried on a meat market in Mitchell. The Mitchell Store will continue to operate while the Seaforth meat market will be in charge of Bill Laverty..
