Program
The Catholic Women's Lea-
gue of St. James' Parish, Sea -
forth met in' the school audi%
torium with Mrs. Arthur Dev-
ereaux, president in charge.
Rev, Father J. T. Saigeon open-
ed the' meeting with prayer,
after which a hymn ,was sung,
accompanied by Mrs. Alice
Stiles.
Mrs: Harold Maloney, mem-
bership convener, reported 144.
members and '` fourhonorary
members. Vi"siting committee
for June are Mrs. James Kelly,
and Mrs. Robert Huard. Miss'
Rita Duncan will care for the
alters during July, " and Mrs.
Joseph McConnell, in August,
A graduation breakfast will
be held on June 27th, for the
grade 8 students, with the pre-
sentation of pins 4 this time.
Mrs. Devereaux • and Mrs.
Harold Maloney .gave a report
of the Diocesan convention
held in London. The theme was -
"The Christian Woman in the
Community''.. Mrs. Frank Nigh
thanked the speakers. Rev.
Father Saigeon 'thanked the
CWL' for their c operation
during the past year.
Mrs. Devereaux introduced
guest ' speaker, Mrs. Ronald"
Broome, •District Commissioner,
who spoke on the work, and im-
portanee of the Brownies,
Guides and Rangers in, the
community, Mrs. Alice Stiles
thanked Mrs. Broome and pre-
sented her with. a gift.
Lunch was served by the
committee, Mrs. Joseph Lane
and Mrs. James Nash.

300 exhibitors and munici-
pal ,services are being instal-
led equal to those of a . good
sized town.

On behalf of the citizens of Seaforth, we extend a
cordial welcome .to all who will visit Seaforth in connec-
tion with the International Plowing Match, October 11, 12,
13, and 14.
We particularly welcome those many hundreds who
will be in our area for large periods, preparing the hun-
dreds of exhibits and displays which will be features of
the International.
Seaforth is an industrious town that looks to the
future. Its citizens are proud of the many outstanding
facilities it offers — a new 48 -bed hospital --- •modern
schools — the widely known Lions, park and pool — at-
tractive churches — pleasant streets.
Seaforth merchants and Seaforth industry are pro-
