William MacGregor, RR 3, Kippen. It was manufactured in Seaforth by the Robert Bell Engine and Thresher Co. Ltd., arid pur- chased by Mr. MacGregor in 1920, and was in regular use Until 1948. The plow guided by Mr. Stewart is awned by James Doig, of Tuckersmith, and was manufactured in Clinton. by Miller and Tedford. It was brought to Tuckersmith when the William Grummett family moved there, nearly 100 year ago. Another 100 year-old walk2 ing plow was displayed on the platform. It had been owned by 'the late Johri Aitcheson and originally as used to plow the land on which the TentedCity will be located. It is now own- ed by Mr. McGavin. The ceremony opened with the playing of "0, Canada" by the SDHS girls trumpet band under the direction of Nancy Berger. It closed with the dedi- cation of the sod turning by Rev. J. C. Britton and Rev. H. J. Laragh. A reception and dinner fol- lowed the ceremony for out of town guests and officials, spon- sored by the town of Seaforth, the township of •McKillop and the local committee. At the re- eeption, Mr. Lashley congratu- lated Mr. Stephenson for the excellent work he had done in preparing the arrangements for the ceremony, reception and banquet. 'Classified ads pay dividends.
