Intosh, Seaforth, and the
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Butt of Bowman-
ville.

which took place before . a
setting of white gladiolas and
pink mums.
Given in marriageby her
father the bride chose a
white floor -length French
peau de soie gown styled
with an empire waistline and
A-line skirt. The neckline
and seeping train were trim-
med with Swiss guipure lace.
She carried a cascading bou-
quet of red roses with white
stephanatis.
The matron of honor was
Blance O'Donnell, Cooksville
and the bridesmaids , were
Patricia Hall, Uxbridge and
Linda Butt, Sister of the
groom, Bowmanville. They
wore identical powder blue
peau • de grenadine, floor -
length dresses styled with an
empire waistline falling into
an A-line skirt. Their flowers'
were pink roses.
Flower girls, Carol McIn-
tosh and Kathy Butt, wore
gowns similar to the brides-
maids. They each carried a
basket of pink roses and
mums.
Groomsman was Charles
Robinson, Melton, .and ushers
were James I. McIntosh, Sea -
forth. and Harpld, Hooke,
Peterborough.
For the reception held in
thechurch, the bride's moth-
er wore a teal blue linen suit
with black accessories and
a corsage of pink roses.
For her travelling costume
the bride chose a •p 0'w d e r
blue Wool worsted crepe suit.
Accessories included a mat-
ching blue hat, black patent
shoes and a purse, black
gloves and a corsage• of pink
roses.
The couple will reside in •
Ottawa.

Mrs. William Crago of Pem-
broke attended the Victoria
Hospital School of Nursing
graduation exercises in Thames
Hall, University of Western
Ontario, on Friday evening
when her sister, Miss Joanne
Webb graduated and spent the
weekend with her parents, Mr.
'a'nd Mrs. Norris Webb.
The community was sadden-
ed Saturday to learn. of the
car accident which took the
life of Mrs. Ken Nelson.
Mr. and Mrs. Bev. Westman
and Janet of Granton yisited
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Copeland,
Cynthia and Ellen, Sunday eve-
ning.
Miss Nancy Jaques has been
confined to her home with
bronchial pneumonia. We wish
her a speedy recovery.
Mrs. M. 'Copeland has been
ill this past week, we are glad
to hear she is improving.

The United Church Women
met Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Fred Parkinson had
charge of the worship service
and also' gave the meditation,
Thescripture lesson was read
by Mrs. Ellis Strahan. Mrs. Dun-
can McNaughton gave a reading
and Mrs. Austin Timms a poem,
"Mother's Way". Mrs. Nelson Er-
nst read an article en citizenship
"From Oldest, To The Newest,
Our Indian Citizens". Mrs. Wil-
liam Spence favoured with a
solo. A chapter from the study
book was given by Mrs. George
Wilson.
Several mothers and grand-
mothers were presented with
flowers.' A quiz on "Mothers
from the Bible" was conducted
by Mrs. Duncan McNapghton.
Woodharn Messengers
Messengers met at church, on
Sunday. Graham Robinson open-
ed the meeting. Janet Tomlin-
son read a poem, "Mother". 'Pam-

years ago.
She is. survived by sons, Edwln
3, Hawkins, London; Boyden
Hawkins, Richmond Hill and
daughters, Mrs. R. S. (LaBelle)
MacDonald, • Seaforth; Mrs. J. A.
(Genevieve) .Dellow, Stratford;
Mrs, K. J. (Donelda) Barry, Sea -
forth, 15 grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren, also one
sister, Mrs. John (Laura) Simp-
son, Kirkton. A• brother David
Clarke, predeceased her in April.
Funeral services were conduct-
ed by Rev. S. E. Lewis, Monday,
May 23, at the Hopper -Hockey
funeral. home, Exeter, with in-
terment in the Exeter cemetery.
Pallbearers were Messrs Geo-
rge Frayne, Carmen Gregory,-
Ross Hoggarth, Douglas Carter,
William Walters and Hubert
Hunter. Flowerbearers were
Kenneth and Bev Simpson.
