The former Joyce Scruton of Hensall, she is survived by her husband; one. son Allan and a daughter, Cathy, at home; two sisters, Mrs. P. L. (Mildred) McNaughton, and Mrs. Bert (Alma) Horton, • Hensall; one brother, Harold Scruton, Port Dover. • Funeral services were held Monday from the Roadhouse and Rose funeral chapel, New- market, with interment in New- market Cemetery. Attending the funeral were .Mr. and Mrs. P. L. McNaughton and Robert; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Horton and Bruce, of Hensall; Mr. and Mrs. Allan Busche, London and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Scruton, Port Dover. MRS. CHARLES SLAP E Mrs. Charles Lane, 71, of Brucefield, died Monday in Clinton Public Hospital, after a five-month illness. I The former Janet May Aik- enhead, she was born in Stan- ley Township, May e,19, 1895. She ; married in Clinton in .19.26. Her husband predeceased her four years ago. Since her marriage, she re- sided in •Tuckersmith Town- ship. She attended St. James' Roman Catholic , Church, Sea - forth.. She is survived by three daughters:. Mrs. Gordon (Mary) De Jtmg, Ttockersrnith; Mrs. Neil (Frances) Roy, Cooksville; Sister Michelle (Patricia), Lon- don; brother, Jack, Brucefield; and sisters Mrs. Gregor (Eliza - b th) MacGregor, Brucefield; l rs. Max Tully, Peterborough. She • is also survived by 13 grandchildren. A son predeceased her in 1955. Requiem High Mass was sung Wednesday, at St. James' Church, Seaforth. Tully, LOUIS HILDEBRAND Louis Hildebrand, 80, for many years a well known resi- dent of Seaforth, died Thurs- day, at St, Mary's Hospital, Kit- chener, - He was born in Hay Town- ship, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John' Hildebrand and came to Seaforth in 1916. He was em- ployed by Cardno Bros. and in recent years operated a local trucking service, retiring in 1963. He was a member of St. James' Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, the former diary Thiel and by his nine children. They are daughters: Mrs. Roy (Irene) Snider, Mrs. Vincent (Mabel) Murawsky, Mrs. Delbert (Stella) Knight, all of Kitchener, Made- line (Sister Joan Marie), Holly- wood, Fla., Mildred, (Sister Ev- angeline), Fort Launderdale, Fla. and sons Gordon J., Al- bert A., both of Seaforth and Orville F. and Glen L., both of Kitchener. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and seven great gratidehildren. Dun- lop; George Hildebrand; Harold Maloney,, Alfred' Pryce, ' Law- rence Dillon; Peter Bannon: ROBERT STUART WIGG The death occured in Guelph General Hospital. on Tuesday,, of Robert Stuart Wigg, a former resident of Seaforth. Mr. Wigg - who was 43, had been •in poor health about a year, although in hospital but three weeks. Born in Seaforth, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Wigg. A vetern of the second' war, Mr. Wigg served overseas as an air gunner with the RCAF. He was active in the Legion and was president of the Seaforth Branch and later of the branch in Walkerton. A keen sportsman, he was inter- ested in young people and while in Seaforth was active as a ,leader in the Boy Scouts. He is survived by his wife, the former Pat Porterfield, to whom he was married in 1958, a brother, Alister of Barrie and a sister, Marjorie, Mrs. Arthur Willcox of Toronto. 'Resting at the McIntyre and Wilkie funeral home, 1 Delhi St., Guelph, whel-e funeral services will be held at 8:30 p.m., Thursday night. Coughlin officiating at the nuptial mass. The bride is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Michael Doyle, Staffa, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Williamson of Good- wood, Ontario. The bride wasiven away by her • father before' a set- ting of yellow mums and chaste daisies. The bride chose an empire waist gown of bridal satin with lily point sleeves. The gown was enhanced with a detachable floor length train caught at the waist. A pearl tiara with waist length veil completed the -bridal attire. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses. Rose Doyle, sister of the bride:. was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jean Moy- lan, Seaforth, and Maria Cook, cousin of the bride, Toronto.
