David Inglis, 21, Walkerton,
has been appointed the first
full-time extension assistant for
Huron County, announced D. S.
Pullen, assistant agricultural re-
presentative for the county.
Previously, assistants were
hired only for summer work.
Mr. Inglis will work with the
24 Huron 4-H Agricultural Clubs
which were formed during the
Easter holidays.
He is a graduate of Walkerton
District High School and a 1966
graduate of the Ontario Agricul-
tural College Associate Diploma
Course in Agriculture, where be
specialized in Animal Husban-
dry.
He was a member of the
Walkerton Junior Farmers and
held a number of executive posi-
tions in both 4-H and Junior
Farmers. He completed eight
4-11 dairy calf club projects in
the Bruce County 4-11 program.
At OAC, Mr. Inglis was presi-
dent of his class eicecutive in
first year, and vice-president in
his graduating year. He partici-
pated in college ,intramural hoc-
key, football, soccer and the
animal husbandry club. "
The 4-11 clubs which were
formed include 14 calf; five
grain corn and one each of mar-
ket hog, sheep, tractor mainten-
ance, breeding swine and sweet
corn.
Kids Need
Your Help
At the May meeting of the
Children's Aid Society the pos-
sibility of sending some chil-
dren to the various church
camps in the county for a Week
or ten days this summer was
discussed. The number of chil-
dren to be considered is small,
and the cost .is approximately
$15-$20 per child.
Members felt this was a
worthwhile projects, and it was
thought there may be indivi-
duals or groups interested in
helping with camp fees for the
children: Those interested in
assisting are asked to contact
the Children's Aid Society of-
fice in the Court House, Gode-
rich, as soon as possible,
