ter, RR 2, Seaforth.
The church • was decorate
with a candelabra and standard
of white mums and pink carna
tions. Mr, Barry Cabena, of
London, was the organist, He
played the Trumpet Tune by
Purcell ' for the processional,
and the March by Handel for
the recessional. The soloist, Mrs.
Don Overholt, St. Catharines,
sang Tlfe Lord's Prayer and the
Wedding 'Hymn,
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a dress
of elegance, fashioned in Gey -
pure lace with a style in an Em-
pire mood. The dress featured
a slim A-line skirt, topped with
a highrise waist, scoop neck-
line and elbow sleeves. To com-
plete this modern picture, a
full chapel train styled in Italine
silk, completely encircled in
matching lace, cascaded at the
back. The headpiece was de-
signed of four tiers of silk illu-
sion veil crown with a pillbox
covered in Geypure lace to
match the dress. She carried a
crescent bouquet of white roses
with trailing green ivy.
The bride was attended by
Mrs. Ron Riley, London, sister
of the groom, as matron of hon-
or, and bridesmaidswere Miss
Dale Hunt,- London, Miss Mar-
ilyn Neeb, Tavistock, and Miss
Barbara Nagle, Lucan. Flower
girls were Miss Ginger Cham-
berlain, Kitchener, and Miss
Glenda Riley, London,
The bridesmaids wore floor -
length dresses of shrimp -color-
ed organza covered with white
flowered -patterned lace. They
featured a controlled skirt, fit-
ted bodice and tiny sleeves.
Their headpieces were of match-
ing shrimp organza shirred in-
to a small fluffy flower. They
carried crescent bouquets of
white divinity tioms and pink
carnations.
The flower girls wore floor -
length dresses of shrimp -color-
ed organza tritnrned with white
Iace and headpieces similar to
the bridesmaids. 'They carried

ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Govier, of
Seaforth, and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
O'Connell, Clinton, •
The church was decorated
with white mums. Miss Lois
Grasby, of Clinton, was the or-
ganist.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose ail empire -
waisted gown of taffeta with an
organza' covered top with long
lily point sleeves. The gown
was highlighted by .a detachable
floor -length shoulder train. Dain-
ty fabric roses centred the five -
tiered headpiece of shoulder -
:length.
The bride was attended by
the groom's cousin, Mrs. Bar-
bara Hymers, Clinton, as maid
of honor. Bridesmaids ' ,were
Miss Sandra Wade, Stratford,
and Miss Donna Healy, Gode-
rich, cousin of the bride: They
wore identical street -length
empire -waisted dresses, of blue
cotton lace with body lining of
rayon taffeta, featuring .a vel-
vet ribbon at the waist. ' Bows
were worn on their heads.
Groomsman was Mr., Maynard
Hyniers, of Clinton. The guests
were ushered by Mr. David
Pugh, Clinton, and Mr. Leslie
,Broadfoot, Seaforth.
The reception was held at
the Orange Hall in Seaforth.
The bride's mother wore a two-
piece turquoise linen suit with
white accessories. The groom's
mother wore a navy blue sheath
dress with matching accessor-
ies.
Guests attended from Acton,
Blyth, Goderich, Clinton, Strat-
ford, London and Seaforth.!
For the ' wedding trip to
Northern ' Ontario the bride,
chose a yellow three-piece 'en-
semble of textured linen -weave
rayon, with white • accessories.
Mr. and Mrs. T. O'Connell will
reside in Seaforth.
MR. AND MRS. NORMAN. McMILLAN, Guelph, Ont., an-
nounce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Marlene
Norma, to Mr•. Louis Michael Murray, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Murray, RR 5, Seaforth. The wedding will take place
on June 11, in the Church of Our Lady, Guelph.

Mr. Ron Williamson, Walton,
and Mr. Ken Mcllwain, Egmond-
ville.
Dinner was held in the church
parlor, followed by a dance in
the Seaforth raegion Hall; Guests
attended from Kitchener; Tavi:
stock, London, Hensall, Strat-
ford, Clinton. and Petrolia.
The bride's mother chose a
pale blue crepe' dress topped
with imported lace with white
accessories. The mother of the
groom wore a beige lace dress
with brown accessories. Both
wore rose corsages.
For the wedding trip to the
United States the bride chose a
two-piece coral silk boucle suit
with matching figured silk
blouse and hat. Black bag and
shoes and a white gardenia cor-
sage completed the ensemble.
The couple will reside on
Franklin Street in -Seaforth.

day evening with Miss Tennie
Dennis presiding for devotions.
The theme for tho evening was
"Family Life." The hymn, "Haps
py' the Home When God is
There," was sung in opening
with Mrs. Martin Baan at the
piano. A prayer of Confession:
was offered by Miss Dennis.
A film entitled, "Calling in
Brazil," was shown. Mrs. Ter-
rance Dundas commented.on the
purpose of the film as follows:
Brazil and all of South America
have increasing interest for us
in this country. Now that mis-
sionaries of the United Church
of Canada are working'with the
Methodist Church in Brazil; we
want -to know more about the
country and the people. "Call-
ing in Brazil" has been produc-
ed to help us see some of the
contrasts of extreme poverty and
affluence and the vast potential
of the country, as well as the
deep concern of Brazilian Chris-
tians to make the church rele-
vant to the needs of the peo-
ple.
Following the film showing,
Mrs. Dundas led a discussion on
the film.
The scripture, taken from
Proverbs 31:10-31 and John 19:
25-27, was read by Mrs. Jack
Bosman, following with "Medi-
tation". Prayer was offered by
Mrs. David Watson. Mrs. Ken-
neth McDonald received. the of-
fering, which was dedicated by
the leader. A poem, • "Count
Your Blessings," Vas read by
Miss Dennis. The hymn, "Jesus
United By Thy • Grace" and
prayer closed this portion of
the meeting.
The president, Mrs. Gordon
McGavin, conducted the busi-
ness: Mrs. Norman . Schade read
the secretary's report in the ab-
sence of the secretary, Mrs.
Campbell Wey. The treasurer's
report was given by Mrs. Ken-
neth McDonald. •

church by the 8th and 16th

Presbyterian Church met Mon-
day evening when president
Mrs. Earl Campbell extended a
welcome to the members. Mrs.
Glenn "Bell read sacred passag-
es and Mrs. Campbell offered
prayer. Mrs. Campbell gave a
meditation, "The Light of the
World," and closed with prayer.
A brief meeting of the Ladies'
Aid followed, presided by presi-
dent Mrs. Harvey Hyde, • when
plans for a bake .sale were dis-
cussed:

1W1 Annual Meeting
Mrs. Tom Laing was hostess
for the annual meeting of the
Staffa Women's Institute, The`
president, Mrs. Carter Kerslake,
presided. The motto was, "A
good housekeeper does not
spend time."
As this was the annual meet-
ing, the standing committees' re-
ports were given. Mrs. Roy Mc-
Donald had the special feature
and displayed articles of hand-
work which she had done. She
also commented on the parade
of aprons' by the members: The.
nominating committee's slate
was presented by Mrs. Wilbur
Glanville, and Mrs. Tom, Laing
,presided for the election of of-
ficers. The officers for 1966-67

church on Sunday. The meet-
ing ,opened 'With a poem ,by Mrs.
Little entitled, "What Counts."
The business consisted of dis-
tribution of articles of the lay-
ette. The articles for the bale
are to .be left' at the church by
May 15th.
The devotional exercises were
conducted by Mrs. Don Dodds;
who gave an article on the ori-
gin of Mother's Day. Mrs. Mo-
Cluskie read an. article called
"Home." •.An instrumental was
played by Mrs, Frank Johnston,
and a dialogue between Mrs.
Harris and Mrs. Allan Campbell
was. entitled, "When is a Chris-
tian Family?" Mrs. Dodds clog -
ed the meeting with prayer.

Constance UCW met May 4th.
Mrs. Ross MacGregor was in
charge.
Scripture was read by Mrs.
William Glousher. Meditation on
scripture was' given by. Mrs.
George Mcllwain. Mrs. W. L.

Bible quiz. Offering was taken
by Barbara Glousher.
