District Liberals Attend Convention Among delegates attending the annual 'meeting of the Lib- eral Party in.: Ontario, held in Toronto, May .6-7, were the fol- lowing: Maitland Edgar, Beech- er Menzies, Gladys Chambers, Bob. In sessions that resulted in a major voice for rank and file workers in party matters, Lib- erals voted to hold a leadership convention within two years af- ter each Provincial election. The 810 delegates voted un- animously to direct policy by party policy conferences every two years. Are Wed 50 Years Two former Seaforth r4sidents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 'Stratford, Sun- day. Mr. and Mrs. Alex E. McGav- in, who were married in Sea - forth in 1916, marked the occa- sion with a family dinner at their home. They lived in Sea- forth until 25 years ago, when they moved to Stratford. Mr. McGavin was a finisher at Imperial Furniture until his retirement 11 years ago. The couple have one daughter, Mrs. Harris (Lois) Bell, of Elora, and five granddaughters. - Guests at the celebration in- cluded Mrs. McGavin's sister, Mrs. J. H.
