The Youth Fellowship group
of Londesboro charge met in
Londesboro Church and opened
with the call to worship by Day -
id Medd. , Beverley Lee intro-
duced the guest speaker, Mr,
James, who is a teacher at the
Central Huron Secondary School
in Clinton. He spoke of his na-
tive land, Jamaica,.its habits and
Customs.
A question period was held,
after which David Medd-thank-
ed •the speaker. The worship
period opened by singing
hymns. ' Scripture was taken
from Psalm 100, read ,by Mary
Mcllwain, followed by prayer
by Ploy Shaddiek. Plans for the
trip to Niagara and Camp at
Goderich were discussed.
UCW Hears Speaker
The UCW met in the school
room of the church with Mrs:
Reg Lawson presiding. The
meeting opened with Hymn 112
being sung. Mrs.- W. L. Whyte
read the scripture lesson, after
-which Mrs. Don Buchanan gave
the meditation on -,the scrip-
ture.
'Mrs: Lawson introduced the.
guest speaker, Mrs. R. Tschanz,
who spoke on the story of Eas-
ter, "Jesus Christ and, His Chris-
tian Life."
A_ musical number was given
by Mrs. Ella Jewitt, called
"Alone." The offering was re-
ceived by Mrs. Verne Dale and
dedicated. Mrs. Wilther Glou-
sher gave a reading, "Goodness
Lives Forever,". followed by a
prayer. . The worship period
closed 'with the benediction.

DAMAGE IN EXCESS of $25,000,00 resulted when fire destroyed a large barn on the
farm of Howard Allan, east of Brucefield, last week. The fire, which was caused by light-
ning, destroyed a combine and 30 head of cattle. The picture was taken during a heavy

The final meeting of Staffa
No. 2 4-H Homemaking Club,

lace gave notes on wearing jew-

sented a talk on the early his-
tory of Hibbert Township. Read-
ings were given by Miss Roba

Hold Final Meeting
The final meeting of Staffa
No. 2 4-H Homemaking Club,
"Accent on Accessories," was
held at the home of their lead-
er, Mrs -John• ... Wallace. Four
girls answered the roll call with
"One point I have learned`about
caring for jewellery." Mrs. Wal-
lace gave notes on wearing jew-
ellery. The following Wednes-
day a work meeting was held
at the home of Mrs. C. Douglas.
The members of Staffa Junior
Choir were entertained at the
home' of their choir leader, Mrs.
Ross Smale, on Thursday after-
noon. Present were Eleanor
Butson, Rae Butson, Karen Glan-
ville, Judy Jeffery, Ruth -Jeffery,
Gail Agar and Patti Norris.

Staffa Women's Institute and
the UCW of Staffa United

Graham entertained with
pictures taken during her re-
cent tour,f Australia, New
Zealand, Hong Kong and
Japan, . commenting exten-
sively on customs, farming
conditions and habitsof
people ill the different places.
Mrs.. Graham's efforts were
enjoyed and words of ap-
present were expressed by
preciation on behalf of all
Mrs. C. Bowman; who also
presented her • with a gift.

ed while on her trip.
