It was CONSTANCE NEWS OF THE WEEK Social Evening Decorations featuring 12 tables were centred with pieces for each month and the program also had a num- ber for each month at the CGIT social evening. The Medd brothers gave a musical number on their guitars.- • For March, Nancy Buch- anan gave a reading follow- ed by a number of Irish songs sang by the Jewitt brothers. Elaine Brown gave a mel- odica solb accompanied by Mrs. Frank Riley for Easter, followed by a reading by Mrs. B. Brown. A solo was sung by Mary Mcllwain followed by a reading by Elaine Brown. June consisted of a mock wedding by the CGIT and a reading by Mrs. Irene Grim- oldby, A September reading was given by Donna Buchanan after which the Jewitt boys sang a number on school days. 1. A Thanksgiving hymn was follbwed by a Hallowe'en number by the CGIT. Onward Christian Soldiers was sang and Agnes Haver Kamp read In Flanders' Fields. For the last inonth of the year, Brian Jewitt and Mary Mcllwain gave readings and Christmas Carols sang. The program ended by taps being played by Elaine Brown on her melodica. Bazaar and crockinole party, followed. Prizes were as follows: Ladies' high, Mrs. Ken Preszcator; most twen- ties, Mrs. Jack. Medd; low, Mrs. Wilmer Glousher. A miscellaneous shower was giv- en by Mrs. Bill McLachlan and Mrs. Ernest Talbot in the lat- ter's home by the community. The 4-11 Club presented her with bedroom lamps at the home of Mrs. W. J. P. Bell. In London, a miscellaneous shower was given in the home of Mrs. Beverly Black, assisted by Miss Lillian Scobbie and Mrs. Margaret Schnurr.
