Not a great deal of news this
week, but have a bit of news
and dates to keep in mind.
The young lads of the com-
munity have finished their
hockey program, except for a
few games, and of course, the
"Big Night" that they all are
waiting for, so do i't_ neglect to
get a ticket and make it a
point to attend. on April 2nd,
when there will be the presen-
tation of awards and trophies.
Now these kids have been•
playing to an empty arena ev-
ery Saturday morning and it is
our duty to come out for the
one final night- and give them
a cheer. It will mean a great
deal to them to have a big
crowd, so keep the date in mind.
And back to the kids again!
Our Ladies' Auxiliary—may the
Lord bless them—came through
last Saturday morning with hot
dogs and soft drinks for ` a
whole gang of them!
It was voted and passed at
the last . regular meeting td
send our president, D. Sills,,
and the zone commander, Al
Nicholson, to the Dominion con-
vention being held in Montreal
in the near future, so our
Branch can rest -assured that
their -interests • will be looked
after. '
Was down to see Dave'Netskye
and Tom Beattie last week at
Westminster Hospital. If you
get a chance, drop in and say
hello to them, and Heck .Ches-
ney is in our local hospital
with a dislocated shoulder, and
Ferg Bullard: is also a patient
there. •.
Well, comrades, this ts,.all- for
this week. Make sure of a big
crowd at the Arena on April
12nd; drop in to see our sick
veterans, as time passes pretty
slow in a hospital.
'At the going down of the
sun, and 'in the morning, we
will remember them."
