,Twentyfifth Anniversary
Thirty relatives, -neighbors
and friends surprised Mr. and
Mrs. Davie Triebner •ion Satur-
day, when. they dropped in to
celebrate their 25th wedding
anniversary. Entertainment for
the evening was progressive
euchre, pirizes going to Elgin
Thompson"' and Mrs. Gordon El-
liott. They were presented with
gifts by Jerry Moffatt. The ad-
dress read by Cliff Henderson
was as follows: ,
"Dear Ruby and ,Dave: `It's
beter late than never' is a say-
ing old and true, we planned to
spend your anniversary visiting
with you, but since that day
found you, Dave, in hospital, in
bed, we waited till the work
was done .and came tonight in-
stead. Though late with our
best wishes, they're none the
less sincere,- and ,,we hope' your
health and happiness . grow
'stronger- year by year. It's a
quarter of a century since the
day you two were wed, it seems
like such a short time while,
my how the time has sped!
Those years have brought their
blessings, with your family of
five, when they came.home with
the little' ones, aren't you glad •
to be alive?
"To remind you of this eve-
ning,'here's a present from us
all;' we hope ow choice .will
please . you,' and this happy' time
recall. This verse is growing
lengthy, that's all we have to
say, but we hope we'll all be
back to call on your golden
wedding day." - Best wishes
from your neighbors.
Mr. Triebner thanked every
one for their -.kindness and
lunch was. served.,
