DEAR DORI
advice from
Doris Clark
A 16-YEAR:OLD ANDSEX
PEAR DORIS — Po you have
ny literature suitable for a 4.6-
,year-o1d boy with poor reading,
ability, ox > the subject of sex?
I'm afraid my husband is shy
of the subject and no help at
all. I've done the best I can but
I find it hard explaining the
urges of a male.
In the past couple of months
I have found all kinds of sex
books in my boy's possession. I
asked why the preoccupation
with sex and his answer was —
well, really, curiosity. "I won-
der what it feels like?" How do
you /*timer that?
A Fan Of Yours
DEAR FAN — Dogs that shy
Dad think that other fathers
find the going easy? But IIlanY
plunge in, for the sake of their
clueless boys; even though they
walk on eggs. Tell your Teen his
curiosity is to b,e expected..Ret
a book or two from the excellent
list I am sending you, read it
yourself and then hand it to
him. Make a date with him for
a talk, just between you two.
And when you do sit down
together, hold not a thing back.
You will have to be his anchor.
DEAR DORIS — My husband
is out quite a bit with other
men and, as he puts it, it's al-
ways business. I have reason to
believe that when these men and
my husband are out, they think
nothing of talking and laugh-
ing with •whomever Is at the
next table. I feel a married man
should not be having fun with
girls he doesn't know.
My husband says I am imma-
ture in my thinking, that I don't
realize what the world is like,
that as long as there is no talk
of sex and the like, there is no
harm done.
Am I just a big prude who
worries too much •about what
might happen to my marriage?
Crying And Worried
DEAR CRYING — Not a
prude: no. But your insecurity
is showing; Affairs have been
known to start with a scraped -
up acquaintance, but much de-
pends on your husband.
• Could you do with some rec-
reation yourself? Perhaps you
need perking up, a trip with
your husband, a chance to re-
capture youthful excitement.
• Every couple should take time
out to stay in love.
DEAR DORIS — I don't like
to say this, but I have little
love in my heart for my Mom,
Stepdad and family. The kids
are 'little devils and my mother
says her nerves are too bad to
discipline , them. Dad has a
heart condition.
I have a terrible temper and
am very impatient. I have 'no

mal teen-ager reacting in a nor-
mal way to a chaotic household.
Your mother's nerves suffer
from unruly kids and they are
unruly because she doesn't rule
them. Has it occurred to you
that they are unhappy too?
In rereading your long letter
I sense a better than • average
mentality. Use it to reason out
just why your bad temper
makes things worse. You all
love each other, really; but
you'll continue to make a hash
of things until you practise self.
