weeks at the east coast.

Hill received the offering and
read a story on Rev. and Mrs.
Walton Honge, mis' sionaries
now residing in London.
During the business it was
decided to ask Rev. and Mrs.
Tonge to be guest speakers at a
service to be held in the spring.
Twenty calls to sick and shut-
ins had been made during Octo-
ber. A donation will be sent to
the Children's Aid Society of
Huron County.
- The Meeting was closed with
prayer and lunch was served.
Remembrance day was observ-
ed in the United Church on
Sunday. After the service the
congregation marched to the
Cenotaph were -a brief service
was held and wreaths were laid.
Elmer Hayter placed a wreath
on behalf of the Township of
Stanley, Ivan McClymont plac-
ed one for the Orange Lodge
1035 and Bill McAsh for the
veterans.
The Varna 4-H club met Wed-
nesday evening at Mrs. ?Man
Hayter's to complete their busi-
ness for the current club, "Cot-
tons May Be Smart". Achieve-
ment day will be November 23
at Clinton.

Royal Mint, Museum of Science
and Technology and the City of
Ottawa. They left Thursday Nov.
7th at 12 mem and arrived home
at 2 a.m. Sunday, over one hund-
red students from the same
grade a Arts and Science took
the trip and while in Ottawa
stayed at the Hotel Chateau
Laurier. They were accompan-
ied by five teachers.

State followed the marriage- of
Ruth Ann cudmore and Larry

of lighted white tapers in can-
delabra, ferns and bronze mums.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Harold T. Cud -
more, R.R. 1 Hensel', and the
grooms parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Roy T. Johnson, London.

father the bride was gowned in
a floor -length A-line wedding
gown of lace over bridal taffe-
ta. A lace train bound with sat-
in fell from her shoulders. Her
tixehidi and 'pearl headpiece
caught a four tiered Veil and
she carried orchids, bronze
mums and white ribbon on a
white Bible.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
John- Reep, St. Catharines, and
bridesmaids were the groom's
sister, Mrs. Chas. Low, Vancou-
ver, B.C. and a cousin of the
bride, Miss Barbara McKenzie
' of Brucefield.

bronze mums with bronze vel-
vet -ribbon. • •

Shoebottom, cousin of the groom
of Exeter and Leslie Cudmore,

Hensall.

green crimpknit dress and
matching tulle hat, received
guests from Vancouver, St. Cath-
arines, Markham, Woodstoek,
London, Centralia, Exeter, Hen-
sall, Brucefield ahd Kippen, at
the Fellowship Hall at the
church. She was assisted by the
mother of the groom, gowned
in turquoise crepe dress and
matching accessories.
For travelling the bride wore
a green_ dress mtil matching
coat, black patent accessories,
winter white hat and corsage
of orange roses. They, will re-
side in London.
