recommendation of its Proced-
ures committee to eliminate
nomination speeches from the
election of the Moderator..
The Synod urged presbyteries
and congregations to make use
of the _tape recordings and re-
lated materials on "French and
English in Canada" emphasiz-
ing that the Christian ministry
t); reconciliation is imperative
in Canada.
The Camp Board is consult-
ing with Assembly's Administra-
tive Council on the fullest use
of the Col. J. B. MacLean prop-
erty at Crieff. •The two Synod
camps: Goforth near Dunville
and Kintail had a total of about
900 in attendance during the
camping season.
The next regular meeting of
the Synod of Hamilton and Lon-
don will be held in Mount Zion
Presbyterian Church, Ridge -
town, the fourth Monday in
October, 1969.

oga College of Applied Arts and.
Technology on. Saturday, Nov-
ember 9, from 1:30 -‘p.m. to 5:00
p.m. for an Open House. .
The college, logated at Inter-
change No. .34 of Highway 401,
will be opened for an informal
inspection of new facilities.
Many of the college functions,
, such as machines in the Various
technological courses will be in
operation. — ,
College personnel will be On
hand to, meet the public and an-
swer questions concerning ed-
ucational -programs offered. The
,students and staff want the pub-
lic to know more about Con-
estoga College and what its ed-
ucational purposes are. ,
Conestoga College started in
January; 1968, with 175 students
housed in temporary portable
buildings. On September 30,
1968, the second year of Classes
started with 630 students and
the first permanent building.
The counties of Huron, Perth,
Waterloo and Wellington are ser-
ved by Conestoga College
The school is a post -secondary
institution., offering diplomas in
the 'fields of Applied Arts, Com-
munications Design, Business
and Technology with the pro-
grams guided by community ad-
visory committees.
