The wedding dinner was held
in the church basement and for
''recelving the guests, the bride's
mother chose an antique gold
silk with hands of gold beads
garnishing the sleeves • and
neckline. She 'wore a brocade
cloche in shades of toast and
gold. The groom's aother assist,
ed and wore a smart ensemble
of Trench green silk worsted
with matching hand -made hat.
For a honeymoon to nointfi
north and the U.S.A., the bride
wore an Albratros wool suit,
trimmed with fur and dark
brown accessories. The couple
will reside in Goderich.
Guests were present from
Toronto, Chatham, Welland,
Guelph, London, Stratford and
Thamesville.

white. carnations and ivy.

turquoise chiffon over taffeta
with a scoop neckline and short
sleeves. The back had a fully
pleated panel turquoise nylon
veil. She carried a bouquet of

the bride of James Papple, Sea -
forth son of Mr. and Mrs. Earle
Pap*, RIt, 4 Seaforth. Rev. J.
C. Britton officiated at the
double ring ceremony. A
given in marriage by her
parents the bride entered the
church on the arm of her father
following a duet sung by Miss
Christine Pryce and Mr. William
Campbell, "The Wedding Pray-
er". During the ceremony Mr.
Campbell sang "The Lord's
Prayer" and Miss Pryce sang
"I'll Walk Beside You" during
the signing df the register. Mrs,
Jas. Stewart accompanied and
played traditional wedding mus-
ic.
• The bride chose a floor length
gown of finely ruffled chantilly
lace. The bodice was highlighted
by a flattering mandarin collar,
lbow length sleeves and a ne-
m! waist. Elegance was port-
rayed, Iir the controlled•,Aline
skirt, giving a very traditional
effect in the extra -fullness which
bustled at the back cascading to
a romantic sweep train.,4111Ier
flooi• length veil was caught
with a chantilly lace cap abd she
carried a nosegay of orange de-
light rose's and white chastas.

• Attending as maid of honor
was Miss Mary Helen Buchanan
of Stratford. Bridesthaids were
Miss Christine Turnbull, Miss
Marlene Turnbull, both sisters
of the bride and Miss Marjorie
Pappre, sister of the groom. Miss.
Lorraine Papple was flower girl.
The bridesmaids provided a col-
ourful background in their floor -
length gowns of moss green rib-
bed Italia and ruffled white
chantilly lace to match the bri-
de's gown. The lace bodices also
featured mandarin collars and
empire -waists, while the sleeves
were white norganza and puf-
fed. The moss skirts were A-
lined and a tiny moss velvet bow
adorned the necklines. Their
headpieces were fitted bows of
moss green ribbed Italia. The
flower girl wore a floor length
dress of white chantilly lace with
a matching half bonnet tied un-
der her.chin. They carried nose-
gays of shades of bronze' poms,
white shastas and eranthus.

John McLachlan of Windsor,
and guests were ushered by Mr.
Bruce Papple, Mr. Tom P pple

guests were received in the
church parlours where ehe wed-
ding dinner was served.
The guests were invited to
to the home of the bride's par-
ents and later in the evening a
reception was held in the Leg-
ion Hall.

Father Laragh officiated at the
double ring ceremony. Mrs. Ali-
ce Stiles played traditional wed-
ding 1nus1c and accompanied
the soloist Mrs. Kathleen Potje
as she sang "Ave Maria, Penis
Angelecus, On This Day, and
Edelweiss".
The bride given in marriage
by her brother-in-law, Russell
Hoffmeyer, wore a floor length
gown fashioned from paloma
crepe with chantilley Mee out.
CARTER

effect sleeves. A detachable train
sweeping to chapel length com-
plimented the sheath akirt. A
pearled and 'crystal petal cluster
held a four tiered French illus-
ion scalloped facer veil in place.
She held ecrescent bouquet of
orange delight rose's.
Pat Hoffmeyer, ,sister of the
bride, of Orillia was the maid of
honor and Pat Etue, sister of
the groom of Seaforth was the
'bridesmaid. Lime green wide
wale ottoman was used in styl-
ing these formal length attend-
ants gowns featuring a batteau
neckline, cap sleeves and an em-
pire style bust line and "A" line
sldrt, falling gracefully to floor -
length. Back detail was center-

September 14 for the marriage
of Miss Marilyn Esther Galli to
Mr. Laurie Garnet Stockwell.
Reverend J. P. Gandon officiat-
ed at the double -ring ceremony.
Mr. Gandon is a former rector
of Trivitt Memorial Anglican
Church, Exeter.
' The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Loris Galli of
Clemenceau Boulevard, Wind-
sor, and the groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs Garnet Stock-
well a Lohdon, formerly of
Seaforth.

weddin floor -length. A-line
gown of white Italian silk peau
de soie with an Empire waist-

A dinner and reception fol-
lowed at the Elm Haven Motor
Hotel; Clinton. At the reception
the mother of the bride received
guests in a two piece coat en-
semble of light green brocade,
with white velvet. hat and black
accessories. A corsage of dark
red roses completed her ensein-
ble.

The mother of the groom
assisted in a blue silk shantung
dress and jacket ensemble with
a lace cowl collar and cuffs,.
and matching hat.

ington, D.the bride chose a
dress and coat ensemble of wed-
gewood blue soffle fabric feat-
uring a simple sheath cocktail
length dress and a coaPof mat-
ching length fitted with an em- .
pire bodice' trimmed with a tail-
ored bow at centre front. It was
accented by a wool felt derby
hat, black accessories and a cor-
sage of pink carnations: On their
return they will reside on East
Street in Clinton.

the groom.
A reception followed at the
Canada House with the bride's
mother, Mrs. Galli, receiving
guests in a sheath dress of tur-
quoise crepe with, a coat of mat-
ching lace. Her accessories were
White and black and she wore
a pink cybidium orchid corsage.
Mrs. Stockwell chose.. for her
son's wedding a dress of gold
brocade with brown acessories.

white roses and carnations. The
couple will reside in Windsor
where they are both on staff at
Hotel Dieu Hospital. •
