now known far and wide for its
success in bringing . handmade
local crafts to the attention of
the public.
Although this show is organ-
ized by the artists and crafts-
att
men of celberne. Township; this
year it is expected that exhibit-
ors will 'come from'Inanyt points
in Huron County. Colborne
Township Hall built in 1889. by
James McDonagh as a hotel,
was bought by the. Township
Council in 1918 to be used for
Council meetings and as a cern.'
Munity centre. Ali the rooms
upstairs and down are thrown
open for "Christmas Country
Fair" as artists and craftsmen
put their work on display at a
time when people are think-
ing of Chris,tmas gifts.
This years show will feature
potter Vaughn Stewart and his
artist wife, Sheilagh of the "Pot
Shop", Grand Bend, Ann Fairs -

Many local women will pro-
vide mouth-watexing goodies
from candy to bread and buns.
There will be no admission
charged for this two day show,
Wednesday October 30 and Sat-
urday November 2nd, because
the •craftsmen want to give the
public a chance to see theli:
work.

Bill Stewart of Goderich scor-
ed, 91 out of a possible 100
points to win the Huron Coun-
ty handicap trap shoot champ-
ionship at Kippen Sunday.
John Anderson, Hensall and
Bob Wildfong of Exeter placed
second with 90 points.
Ted Horton of Goderich was
third with 88 points while last
year's champion GeOrge Hamm
of Blyth was fourth with 87
points.

visitors with Mr. and.Mrs. Laird
Mickle.
Mrs. John Glenn of- Exeter,
formetly of Chiselhurst, was
admitted as a patient at South
Huron Hospital, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ken Christian
of Napartee, called on Mr. and
Mrs. Laird Mickle Tuesday of
Taft week. Mr. Christian was a
former bank manager here.
Ladies of St. Paul's Anglican
Church held a successful bazaar,
and bake sale in. the church e;
schoolrooms on Saturday after-
noon. Conveners were Mrs. An-
nie Reid and Mrs. Barrie Jack-
son.
Members of Hensall Kinette
Club sponsored a rummage sale
at the arena Friday evening,
with proceeds for service work.
Cartons of used clething,
sold were given to the UCW for
a bale to be forwarded for over-
seas relief.
The minister "Under Attack"
was a lively and informative
feature of the Thanksgiving
meeting of Hensall United
Church Hi -C. A discussion on
money topics pertaining to
Youth and the Church followed.
The panel members were
Catharine Christie, Sherry Tra-
vers and Carmen Currie. Focus
on Japan was presented through •
the film strip "In the Land of
Fugi San".
Donna Forrest was the repre-
sentative to the "Church Voca-
tions Event 1968" for Huron,
Perth and Oxford Presbyteries
in Stratford on Saturday.

She was the former Edith
Garnet Campbell, danghter of
the late Mr. .and MrS. Hugh
Campbell. She was born in Kin-
istinO, Saskatchewan, Al en ear-
ly age she moved to • %Weft
Townshill where she resided
throughout • her life. She was
married to George W. Carter
and the couple celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on
April 20th of this year.
The late Mrs. Caller was a
member of Burn's United
Church where she was an active
worker.
Besides her husband she is
survived by one daughter, Mrs.
Watson Reid (Beryl), RR 1,
Blyth and one son; Glen of RR
1, Londesboro and six 'grand-
children. Her two -Sisters, Mrs.
John McDonald (Gertrude) and,
Mrs. Gordon Kerr (Hazel), both
of Toronto, also survive.
The body rested at the Ball
funeral home until Monday,
• Oct. 7, when services .were con-
ducted by Rey. C. Heckendorn
of Londesboro: Interment fol-
lowed at Clinton cemetery.
Pallbearers were David, An-
derson, Harry Tebbutt, John
Shepherd, James Howatt, Ben
Rileyand Donald Buchanan.
,Flowerbearers were John- Arm-
strong, Oliver Anderson, Ed-
ward Bell and Wm. Leiper, Jr.
