We found that Mr. Elliott,
Administrator, had no pressing
; problems.
The administrative and nurs-
ing functions were being very
well performed.
We were impressed with the
efficiency displayed and the
cleanliness of all rooms and
corridors.
Two broken windows in the
boiler room were observed and
it --is suggested that they be re-
paired before winter sets in.

Hospitals are having some dif-
ficulty in getting "nurses. They
have applications from condi-
dates outside the country and
would like entry for these pros-
pective candidates expedited.
(1) To decrease administra-
tive costs it is suggested that
pay assignments for employees
be made to banks of 'the em-
ployees choice where agreeable
and applicable.
(g) There Were enough beds
in all of the hospitals visited
for ordinary day to day use.
None of the hospitals have suf-
ficient space' to accommodate
disaster victims but emergency
plans to , handle this situation
are in existence.
(h) During the heavy rain to-
day the boiler 'tom of the
Clinton Hospital was flooded to
a depth of three to four inches
at one end. This condition
should be investigated and cor-
rected.
