Carmel Church on August 23. The bride is the former Mary JoAnne Dietrich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dietrich, Mount Carmel. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Gor- don Muegge, Seaforth. Rev. Basil Glavin, uncle of the bride, Owen Sound, offic- iated at the early evening cere- mony. The church was decorat- ed with pink and white glad- ioli. • The .bride was given in mar- riage by her father and wore white Italian lace trimmed with peau de • soie ' over •taffeta. The floor -length straight -lined dress featured three-quarter length sleeves and a detachable lace train trimmed with peau de soie which fell from mid -back. A crown of crystals and white beads held the illusion veil and she carried red baby roses on a bridal book. Matron of honor was Mrs. Peter Eckert, sister of the bride, Kitchener. Bridesmaid was Rose Mary Dietrich, another sister of the bride, London. They Were gowned alike in capri blue floor -length chiffon over taffeta trimmed with marine lace. Their flowers were crescents of blue baby mums and feathered carnations. Robert Muegge, Maitland, was. best man. Donald Muegge, Lon- don, and Michael Dietrich, Mount Carmel, were ushers. _ The bride's mother, in an em- erald green suit, tlack acces- sories and a corsage a white roses greeted her gucsts'at the reception • in the Dashwood Community Centre. The couple is residing at 99 Westwood Drive, Kitchener. The bride is a graduate of London Teachers' College and is ;on staff at St. Joseph's Sehool, Kitchener. Mrs. Wallace listed the things to have in an embroidery work box and showed an article in one of her sewing books on blending colours. Mrs. Chas. Douglas, assistant leader gave a talk on the his- tory of embroidery and on col- ours and how to match them with other coleurs. Bob Templeman and Alec. Scott started classes this week at the University of Guelph. • The UCW catered to a din- ner in the Family Life Centre, Saturday evening honoring Mr. and Mrs. Walter O'Brien on their golden wedding anniver- sary. The evening was planned \ by their son and daughte -'n- law, Mr. and Mrs. la 'en, Flint, Michigan. A h ghlight of the evening was a humorous ac-, count of their courting days, given by their son, Don. On Sunday afternoon and eve- ning open house was held in the Family Life Centre. REINKE Ranald S. Reinke of 533 CO- W Drive, Landon died sudden- ly on Friday in 'London. He Was iff his 61sit year. Mo. Reinke was born in elversmith, the • son of the late, Mr. and Mrs. J. C.
