OBITUARIES
REV. H. C. ELFORD
Rev. Herbert C. Elford, 71,
of Egmondville, died Thursday
in Seaforth Community Hospi-
tal.
He was barn in Rockland,
Mich., and received his educa-
tion in Tillsonburg, Sarnia, Vic-
toria College, University of Tor-
onto and Albion College, Mich-
igan.
A minister of the Methodist
Church for many years in var-
ious charges in the State of
Michigan, he retired in 1962
when he moved to Egmondville.
He was a veteran of the First
World War. He was a member
of the Methodist Church of Port
Hilron, Mich.
He was married in 1923 to
the former Coral Durr ot Sar-
nia who survives.
Surviving besides his wife are
one brother, Glen, Sarnia; two
sisters, Miss Florence and Miss
Alva, both .of Egmondville.
The body was at the G. A.
Whitney funeral home here,
where service was held at 2 p.m.
Saturday, conducted by Rev. D.
0. Pry. Burial was in Egmond-
ville cemetery.
Pallbearers were Keith Mac-
Lean, Roy Rau, John Rau, DaV-
id Webster, Keith Webster and
Robert Wilson.
WILLIAM EDGAR
William Edgar, 62, of Clinton,
died Saturday in St. Joseph's
Hospital, London. A native of
Seaforth where he attended
school, he was the son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edgar.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Cecilia Clarke; one step-
son, PO R. W. McKay, Royal
Canadian Navy, Halifax; three
sisters, Mrs. James (Ann) Ed-
wards; Mrs. Alex (Caroline)
Muir, both of Seafrth; Mrs.
James (Bessie) Flanigan, Guelph.
The body was at the Ball fun-
eral home, Clinton, where ser-
vice was held Tuesday at 2 p.m.
Burial was in Clinton cemetery.

quet to be held in Staffa Hall
in late October or early Nov-
