The fueralr John :Alva Dal-
las, RR 1 Brucefield, who drown-
ed following a boating accident
near Bayfield, was held Thurs-
day.
Born in Seaforth, Mr. Dallas
attended elementary school in
Brucefield and high school at
Seaforth District High. He was
a- member of Brucefield United
Church.
Surviving are his parents, Mr
and Mrs. Russel Dallas of Bruce
field and two brothers, Presto
and William R. of Tuckersmith
He was unmarried.

al Home and burial was in Malt
landbank Cemetery. Rev. D. Stu

The executive meeting of the
Hensall VZI was held at the home
of Mrs. Clarence Ileid, Monday
evening when 12 members were
present. It was decided to send
two delegates to the ACWW
meeting in Lansing,. Michigan in

may be smart" will be sponsor-

Funeral Services for the late
Howard Ferguson Coombs, 38,
who drowned following a boat-
ing mishap in Lake Huron, were
held Friday.
Mr. Coombs was born and ed-
ucated in Egmondville and a
member of Egmondville United
Church. He had been employed
as a driver before his death. He
was unmarried.
He is survived by his father,
Herbert T. Coombs, and five
brqthers, Palmer H. of London,
Cleave C. of Egmondville, Ken-
neth W. of Seaforth, Wesley C.
of Seaforth, and Raymond M. of
Egmondville.
Funeral services were held
from the R. S. Box Funeral
Home, Friday morning with Rev.
D. Stevens officiating.
Burial was in Egmondville
• Cemetery.
Pallbearers were James Ra-
cho, Wayne Bennewies, Murray
McLeod, Georg o Earle. Bruce
MacLean and Bill Chesney.
BENJAMIN G. WALKER
Benjamin G. Walker, 78, of
Stratford, formerly of Brussels,
died Monday in the Stratford
General Hospital.
He was a native of Barrie.
For many years he was a fu-
neral director in New Hamburg
and later in Bridiels where he
retired from business in 1959.
He was married to the former
Lillian Yost who died. in 1959.
Surviving are one son, Leon-
ard G. of London; three grand-
children and three great-grand-
children.
The body rested at the 't. S.
Box Funeral Home, Seaforth.
Funeral service was held at 2:00
p.m. Wednesday at St. John's
Anglican Church, Brussels. Bur-
ial followed in Brussels ceme-
tery.
Mary Ellen McFadden
Funeral services were held
Thursday for the late Miss Mary
-Ellen McFadden, 88, who died
ast Tuesday at Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital.
She was a native of McKillop
Township, daughter of the late
Thomas McFadden and Cathar-
