The 'VMS of First Church
held their June meeting- -in the
Centennial Room of the church.
The seond vice-president, Mrs.
J. Thompsom chaired the meet-
ing in the absense of the presi-
dent, Mrs. Francis Coleman.
The meeting opened with call
to worship. Hymn 569, verses
1-3 and 6 and 7 were sung. The
minutes were read by Mrs. Ed -
:Rh McMillan in the absence of
the • secretary Mrs. Carolyn'
Thompson. Seventeen merabers
answered the roll call. The
Ladies' ,Aid fees are to be paid
at the July meeting. Mrs. Hel-
en McNrillan's group is to be in
charge of the next meeting.
Mrs. Elgin Nott, the group lead-
er, took charge of the devotion-
al part of the meeting. The
scripture lesson was taken from
third chapter of Acts, verses 11-
16 and also fourth chapter of
Acts, verses 6-13. The topic was
• "Chirst and The Faith of Men".
Hymn 568 "Lord of Light Whose
Name Outshineth" was sung.
The meeting was closed •with
prayer. A dainty lunch was ser-
ved.
