live in this area, except for a
daughter in Parry Sound; 16
grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren, Mr. Thompson
recently attended the baptism of
one of his great-grandchildren.
Mr. Thompson prides himself
in his good health which in-
cludes perfect eyesight. He said
he drove a car until he was 90
-years old.
How does he account .for his
good health? "Goodness, I just
take chances," he exclaimed.
Mr. Thompson said only one
of his classmates is still living.
She is Mrs. Alice Joynt of Hen-
sall.
Mr. Thompson spent a quiet
birthday and went up to his
son's for an evening dinner. He
had plenty to do during the day,
however. He received over 60
birthday cards from relatives,
'friends and well-wishers, some
of whom he had never heard of
before. "I just wish they would
have put their return address
so I could write to them," he
said. •
