McCONNELL SCOTT
Miss Rilla Scott was the rec-
ent bride of Mr. Douglas Mc-
Connell, both of Port Credit.
The marriage took place there
in Trinity Anglican Church on
Friday, May 10 at 7 p.m. Rev.
Mr. Harper, the supervising
pastor, officiated. The bride is
the daughter of Rev. and Mrs.
Alan Scott of Hamilton, Ont.,
the groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon McConnell of Wir-
ral, New Brunswick.
Given away by her father, who
also assisted in the ceremony,
the bride wore an 'empire style
gown of white crepe and chif-
fon. Her veil was ornamented
with a headpiece of fresh flow-
ers. She carried her mother's
Bible with a spray of gardenia
and stephanotis.
The bride was attended by
her cousin, Miss Linda Dianne
Scott of Moorefield, Ont. Miss
Scott's dress, in empire style,
was of tiers of white lace. Her
headdress and sash were blue.
Miss Sheena Scott, the bride's
sister, acted as .flower girl in a
floor -length dress of rose chif-
fon in an empire style. She car-
ried a floral nosegay in blue
and white.
A reception was held for the
newlyweds at the Newport Ho-
tel. They will make their home
in Port Credit.
