Forty students from Huron
Centennial School, Brucefield
visited the Workshop of Harry
Webber, on Monday, to see a
blacksmith working on a forge
During the two hour visit, Mr.
-Webber demonstrated the mak-
ing of a horseshoe', putting a
new link in a chain, sharpening
a ploughshare, among numerous
other things.

leadership of Mrs. Ted Insley,
provided special music with Sha-
ron Thomson at the organ and
Ann Parkinson at the piano.
LADIES' AID MEETS
Miss, Jean Scott presided over
the meeting of the Ladies' Aid
of First Church on Tuesday af-
ternoon when a skit "Municipal
Affairs" was presented by the
members of the Women's Insti-
tute. The scene of the play was
in a local barber shop and the
players were: commentator °, -
Mrs. F. Hunt; Mrs. 'Leonard
Strong; Mrs. James Keys; Mrs.'
W. Coleman; Mrs. Bruce Cole-
man; Mrs. Ge.orge Kerslake;
Mrs. Wm. Strong; and Mrs. F.
Hunt. The meeting was opened
with a poem entitled "Count
Your Blessings", read by Mrs.
Francis Coleman. The hymns
were chosen by Mrs. J. R. Bell.
Mrs. Margaret Messenger read
the 103rd Psalm and Mrs. H.
Agar led in prayer. Mrs. Reg.
Kerslake read the minutes in
the absence of Mrs. Harold
Whyte. Mrs. W. E. Butt sang
the "Vienese Refrain".
