This Week At the Seeterth District Thsh Scheel
• By Margie Whyte and Carol Sholltreen
Student of the Week very, grateful for • the • work
• Thir week, our attention iswhich SDHS has done for them
in previous years. We are cam -
focused on a Grade 12 student,
a, Paul Hagan. Being the 12C class
representative in the students'
council, he takes an active part
in all of their activities. Just
recently, he helped to paint the
Mexican murals for the "At
Home", and designed the pro-
gram cover for the Variety
Night show. As well, he found
time t lead the "Seaforth-Jam-
aica campaign".
Don't' ever think Paul limits
his art talent to just school pro-
jects. Be has done much poster
and sign work and is at present
working on his second year of
a home study art course from
the Minneapolis School of Art.
Next fall, he Plans to take a
Commercial Art Course at the.
Ontario College of Art in Toron-
to.
In the world df sports, he is
a great hockey and football fan.
He is also very much interested
in photogiaphy and geography.
On the issue of school spirit,
Paul views a very positive opin-
,ipn, and quote "I think that we
at SDIIS have the best school
spirit and if you could have
been around during ' Variety
Night and formal preparations
y,ou would know what I mean.
The way that the* students co-
operated proves that when
young people work together,
they can accomplish almost any-
thing".
Band Uniforms
The band girls are using their
talents to save money by mak-
ing their own new uniforms.
Their new skirts are of the Sea -
forth tartan and should -look
very attractive indeed.
