was in his 59th year. •
The son of the late James
Laughlin and Mary Lavin o he
was born on the 10t1 conces-
sion of McKillop Township and
attended No: 8 School, Manley.
He moved to Stratfordabout
25 years ago and until his
health failed in, December, he
was employed at. the Queen's
Hotel, Stratford.
Requiem High Mass was cel-
ebrated by Msgr. 'Vincent
Walsh on Monday, April 1st,
at the Immaculate Conception
Church; Stratford, followed by
interment in the family plot at
St. Columban with Msgr. John
J. White officiating
Pallbearers were Joseph Man-
ley, Charles Harrigan, Norman
McNaughton; James Doig, Har-
old Frier' and Lloyd ICilland.
He is survived by his wife,
Corinne Mathieu; one sister,
Mrs. R. J. (Bridget) McDonald,
304 Queen St, Stratford and
four nephews, John, James,
Maurice and Joseph McDonald,
all of Stratford.
MR4, WILLIAM CHAPMAN
Mrs. William Chapman, a for-
mer resident of Seaforth for
thirty years, passed away in
South Huron Hospital, Exeter,
Monday, April 8th. She Was
She was the former Selina
Wilson, widow of the late IVIr.
William Chapman, and leaves to
mourn her loss: two daughters,
(Marion) -Mrs. Robert Medreg•
or, RR2, Kippen; (Lila) Mrs.
'Harold Jackson:, Seaforth; two
sisters, (Bella) Mrs. George
Hamilton, Auburn; (Marion)
Mrs. Arthur Rutledge, Seaforth;
one brother Lorne Wilson,
Brucefield; two granchildren
and eight grandchildren.
Public funeral services con-
ducted by Rev. E. D. Stuart,
were held Wednesday; from
Bonthron Funeral Home. Inter-
ment was in IVIaitlandbank Ce-
metery, Seaforth
' MRS. JAMES MURRAY
Requiem High Mass was cele-
brated in St. James Roman Cath-
olic Church, Seaforth, on Satur-
day, April 6th, at 10 a.m. for
Mrs, James Murray, who passed
away Thursday, April 4, 1968 in
Seaforth Community Hospital,
Rev. H. J. Laren officiated.
Pallbearers were four grand-
children: Frank Crowley, Kin -
kora; Gerald Crowley, Stratford;

Mrs. Murray the former Mar-
garet Jordon was born in Kin -
kora 81 years ago. She resided
in McKillop from 1918 until
1958 when she moved to Sea -
forth. She was a member of
St. James Roman Catholic
Church and of the CWL.
Mrs. Murray was predeceased
,by her husband but is survived
by daughters Julia, IVffs. Wilf-
red McDonnell, Teeswater; Ei-
leen, Seaforth; Audrey, Mrs.
Basil Kelly, Kinkora; Mary,
Mrs. Eldan Doering, Stratford;
Adelaide, Mts. Dan Crowley,
Stratford; Evelyn, Mrs. Bill
Rowland, Stratford; Margaret,
Mrs. Basil Brown Toronto and
Helen, Mrs. Lloyd MacDonald,
Toronto; and sons Jack of To -
roto and Frank of Seaforth.
She is also survived by brothers
Thomas of Stratford and
Charles of Kitchener and sis-
ters Gertrude, Mrs. John Con-
nelly, Mitchell; Mary, Mrs. Pe-
ter Cassidy, Macon* and Lau-
ra, Mrs, John MIAMI, Egmond-
ville, as well as by 21. grand-
children and six great-grand-
children. Funeral„ arrangements
were in charge of R. S. Has
Funeral Home.

MISS ABBIE SEIP
following a short illness pf
ten days Miss Abbie Seip died
Wednesday in Seaforth Com-
munity Hospital.
Born inNew Hamburg, she
came as a child to Seaforth
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
George Seip where she atten-
ded school. For a number of
years she was on the staff of
Bell Telephone here and later
with Keating Pharmacy where
she had gained a wide circle
of friends and aquaintanees a -
"Mit Len O'Rourke introduc-
ed the guest speaker, Sister
Ann, principal of Dublin Con-
tinuation School at the St. Col-
umban" CPTA meeting. She
spoke on different forms of
higher education for students
entering high school. Mrs.
Richard Downey thanked the
speaker.
Mrs. Joseph Nolan 'gave an
instructive -report on the an-
nual CPTA convention held in
Toronto recently. The therae of
the convention was Christian
family living --- the home, the
school and the, chbrch.
President Joseph Nolan open- -
ed the meeting with prayer and
minutes were read by Robert
Duffy. Frank Hicknell gave the
treasurer's report. Lunch was
served by the committee in

Funeral services will take
place at the R. S. Box Funeral
Home, on Saturday, at 2 p.m. •
and will be conducted by her
minister, Rev. J. C. pritton.
Interment will follow in Pion-
eer Memorial Mausoleum.
GEORGE MOWBRAY
George T. Mowbray, 88, died
in Seaforth Community Hospital
early Wednesday morning fol-
lowing a short illness.
Born in Whitechurch tie was'
a long time CNR section fore-
man and came to Seaforth
from New Hamburg in 1936. His
wife predeceased him in 1962.
He is survived by daughters
Janet, Mrs. Walter Laing, Strat-
ford; Mae, Mrs. Charles Funnell,
Barrie; Irene, Mrs. Earl Sippel,
Tavistock and sons Charles of
England; Robert, Stratford and
Gordon, Seaforth.
The remains are resting at
the R. S. Funeral Home' where
Rev. J. C. Britton of Northside
United Church will conduct
services Friday afternoon at
2 p.m. Interment will Blow in
Pioneer Memorial Mausoleum
