Grandmother were guests at
the meeting of the Walton Wo-
men's Institute Wednesday eve-
ning with Mrs. Mac Sholdice and
Mrs. Herbert Traviss in charge
of the program.
Miss Joanne Elligsen, RR 4,
Walton, showed colored sildes
and gave a commentary of a
bus trip to New York and the
United Nations in 1966 sponsor-
ed by Huron Rebekahs and Odd
Fellows; A poem read by Mrs.
Sholdice was followed with a
solo by Gail Traviss.
AU the grandmothers were.
called to, the front and prizes
were awarded to: Mrs. Jan van
Vliet, most recent grandmother;
Mrs. Wilbur Turnbull, most
great-grandmother; most but-
tons, Mrs. W. C. Hackwell.
A parade of Easter hats was
held with Mrs. James McDon-
ald and Mrs. W. C. Bennett win-
ning prizes.
' Mrs. 'Alvin McDonald presid-
ed for the business. The roll
call was answered by naming
grandparents. A freezer foruna
was announced for Clinton and
Wingham this month.
The slate of officers for 1968-
1969 was presented by Mrs. Roy

Euchre
A successful Dessert Euchre
Was held in the Lodge Hall, on
Wednesday afternoon, sponsor-
ed by Amber Rebekah Lodge.
It was well patronized with
many attending from Exeter,
Clinton, Brucefield and sur-
rounding areas. Sixteen tables
were in play for the euchre and
winners were: first prize, Mrs..
R. A. Orr, Hensall; consolation,
Mrs. Richards, Exeter; lone
hands, Mrs. Edna Caldwell, Ex-
eter; prize for having birthday
nearest to date of euchre went
to Mrs.- Robert Bell, RR 2, Kip -
pen; draw for floral centrepiece
was won by Mrs. Howard Lem -
mon, Varna.
A bake sale did a rushing
business.
Lady Curlers Elect
The Hensall Ladies' Curling ,
Club enjoyed a banquet at the
Legion Hall, Wednesday eve-
ning when forty ladies sat
down to a turkey dinner.
Pins were presented to the
two top winning teams of the
year. Mrs. Howard Scane was
elected president and Mrs. Rob-
ert Baker, secretary -treasurer.
The Legion Ladies' Auxiliary
catered for the dinner.

During the past year, 1,851
children with physical handi-
caps were added to the prov-
incial case load of the Ontario
Society for Crippled Children.
These cases wer, registered
through province -wide clinics
which are sponsored by the So-
ciety and 231 Easter Seal ser-
vice clubs in co-operation with
local medical Societies and pub-
lic health units.„,
A steady increasing case load
coupled; with ever rising coats
for special appliances, transpor-
tation, prescribed treatment,
facilities and numerous other
services merely indicates the
importance of supporting the
annual Easter Seal Campaign.
The provineial objective for
1968 is $1,490,00 - an amount
not arrived at through an es-
timate, but a true figure based
