Three cheers for the Wippets! They are the basketball champs once again. At a WOSSA com- petition held here last.Tuesday, our senior girls' team had a close, extiting and hard-fought game, -but they managed a vic- tory aver their Glencoe oppon- ents, by a margin of only two points. The final score was 21- 19. The top scorers of this game were Mary Sills and Debbie Miller. 'On Thursday, during an as- . serably in the auditorium, Mr. Plumsteel presented the WOS- SA "A" pennant to Debbie Mil- ler, captain of the team. After receiving the pennant, Debbie expressed thanks, on behalf of the team to Miss Weiler and Mr. Burgess, who were great Coaches all the way. Congratulations champs. DRIVING COURSE Once again, for The second time, there is a driving course being offered at SDHS to all students, 16 years. and ever, who wish to take the course. For each of the four months, April through to the end of July,. twelve students will be given Driver Instruction by Mr. Jack Fulcher of Exeter. This course .is in accordance with the stan- dards required by the Ontario Department of EduCation and the Ontario Department of Transport. Classes are held each day for four weeks from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. For two evenings of every week, a group of four students will practise driving in Clinton. Towards the completion of the course, they' will prac- tise driving once in GOderich and once in Stratford.
