Larry Dale put the Beavers
ahead 1-0 at 31 seconds of the
first period and sent them on
their way to a 5-0 decision over
Durham at the local arena Fri
day.
The victory put the Beavers
in front 1-0 in the series.
Dale's goal, which proved to
be the winner 6ame on a scram-
ble in front of the Durham. net.
Tom Dick and Bob Beuttenmil-
ler combined to assist Dale on
the play.
Before the period ended Jack
MeLlwain increased the lead to
2-0. McLaughlin and Beaten -
miller assisted.
In the second period Bill Mc-
Laughlin scorej. twice as the
• Beavers went ahead 4-0.
Paul Rau completed the
scoring near the end of the
third period.
Despite the difference in the
final score Seaforth held only
a slight margin of play through-
out the game.
Gar Baker was in top shape,
kicking out shots as fast as
Durham could get them away.
Seaforth was more fortunate
around the Durham net. Most
of the Beavers' goals came on
scrambles in front of the net,
when a quick shot and a little
luck can change the game.

ers on the scoreboard at the 18 -

seconds- remaining in the first
period on a goal by Cowie.
1 After a scoreless second per-
iod Durham jumped to a 6-2

Kerr got his second goal.
