The prize for the ladies high was won by Mrs. Gee Goettler, Dublin; • Earl Elliott won the men's high; ladies' low was won by Mrs. Mary Coyne; men's low was won by Joe No- lan. The lucky chair prize was won by Tony Leomans. There was a raffle on two baskets of groceries which wore won by 'Joe Delaney and Father Durand. Lunch was served and entertain, ment was by the Thyrteenth Hour, a local band, D.c:S. held a Valentine dance on Friday. Music •was provided by the Thyrteenth Hour. A native of Canada, she lived at Irvington St., Detroit, Mich. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 30th, at the Kol- asa funeral home, with mass be- ing sung by her cousin., Rev. Harry Feeney, Kitchener, with burial in Holy Sepulchre Ceme- tery. Mrs. O'Rourke is survived by two daughters, Mrs, Anna Don- nelly and Mrs. Agnes Le Bland, three sons, Joseph, Frank and Andrew, all of Detroit and a brother, Daniel Burns, Seaforth. Hold 9en House at Agricultural Cone e An open house and the offic- ial opening of the new Gentralia College of Agricultural Technol- ogy will be held on ,Friday, March 1st. Visitorswill have an opportunity to visit the cam- pus, tour the vari6us campus buildings and participate in the formal opening ceremonies. The Centralia College of Ag- ricultural Technoloqy is located in the Centralia Industrial Park ,at the former Canadian Forces Base near the village of Cen- tralia. The new College was op- ened in October, 1967 and stu- dents registered for the first year of a two year course that will lead to a biploma in Agri- culture or Home Economies. Existing classroom, residential, dining and recreational facili- ties will accommodate 400 stu- dents. The official opening cere- monies will take place at 2:31) -p.m. in the main lounge at Huron Hall. Minister of Agricul. ture and Food W. A. Stewart and Huron MPP Han. C. S. Mac - Naughton, Proinncial Treasurer, will unveil the official plaque that will be pres,ented to the Centralia College. The open house provides vis- itors an opportunity to tour the campus and to see several dis- plays and presentations prepar- ed bythe students., The Home Economics students will offer a millinery -show and a display of applied' arts. Information will be,provided in a range of sub- jects from textiles to teen age nutrition. Kitchen design is im- portant in the modern house- hold and guests can view the new equipment in the 'Foods Laboratory and receive the lat- est information on kitchen planning. Agricultural displays provide information in such areas as livestock, soils, crops and horti- culture, business management, engineering and communica- tions. The value of records will be demonstrated in the prepara- tion of a suitable farm budget.
