Basketball:
Basketball games were the
order of the week, and will con -
Wine throughout the winter
months,
. Our outstanding coaches this
year are Miss Weiler and Mr.
Burgess 'for the girls' teamk
Mr. Reidy for the boysjunior
team; and Mr. Hook for the
boys' senior team. We certainly
appreciate all the. time these
teachers give in coaching the.
teams.
All four of the. $DI -J$ basket-
ball teams played their first
gime haat Wedneackiy, when
they fought against the Clinton
teams- On the whole,. pur teanis
did display some topnetch bait-
etball but only the :girls' senior
team was able to brag a victory.
Senior Girls' Team:
The girls' senior team, con
sisting of twelve members, has
for its captain, Debbie Miller.
Fr the girls' first home
game, our gym was filled with
rooters and cheer leaders, cheer-
ing our team on to victory. Sea -
forth won the game by a slim
margin of five points, the final
score being 35-30. Dawn a Rey-
nolds, our big scorer of the
day, put the ball' aver the rim
often enough for nine points,
while Mary Sills tallied eight
points and Angela Devereaux
accounted) for six points. Keep
up the good work girl!
Junior Girls' Team:
Janice Dietz "serves as cap-
tain for the .jnitior team which
has a -total membershiptof ten
girls.
The final score of the ,junier
game with Clinton was 32-26
with the hometown on the light
end of the score. The game how-

while Rick Woods scored 14

Coach 'Mr. Hook said that in
the first quarter, Clinton: was
leading by a margin df
points and after that time, the
boys began to play extreMely
well as a feTin. However, they
wer,e not able to catch up and
