oar readers. In 1832 Samuel Oaruuchan,
Me. Dickson's grandfather, Dame out to
this country from Scotland, and took up
400 mores on what is now the Sed ounees

the original homestead of 100 sores went
to his son Simnel, who afterwarde bold
out to his brother, Robert, who purchased
the farm for his eon, Samuel, who ocou-
pied the farm, and in time it came to be
owned by tette Samuel's son Samuel,
whu it the present oeoupant and who
was recently married. That this farm
has been occupied enooeesively by four
generations, and all of them named

To Mend Tinware,
To mend tinware paste a piece of
stiff brown paper ar'rocs the hole by
means of cold water paste. Then pour
hot water into the pan. and after al-
lowing this to stand awhile it will be
found that uo amount of scraping will
be sulIicient to remove it. If the piece

As early as 1612 the French began
to advertise in a paper called the
