Brown City, Mich:, after a month's visit
with her sister, Mrs. (Dr) Packwood.
Mr. W. P. Grierson, of town was a
judge at the Ripley fair last week and
did similar duty at Lncknow this week.
Mr. and Mrs, David Martin, of GIen-
ford Station were visiting for a few days
with relatives in gingham and vioinity.

From April 20 to Aug. 31 last 26,-
699,686 bushels of wheat were parried
from Fort William and Port Arthur by

The success of the Limerick Compe-
tition, which has been running for the
past few weeks in the Toronto Mail and
Empire, has been so phenomenal that
they have decided to raise the amount
of prize money in the contest, which
commenced Friday, Sept. 27, to 8100.00.
The person who sends in the best sugges-
tion for the last line of she incomplete
Limerick will receive $30.00. The other
prizes are as follows: the second, $20.00;
the third and fourth, $10.00 each; the
fifth and sixth, $5.00 each, and ten con-
solation prizes at $2,00 each. It is prob.
