the sink list and is still quite poorly but
we hope he will soon regain his old time
vigor.

left on Friday for Stettler, Alberta,
where Mr. McNeil went last Spring and
is located. Jas. McKay, and wife, of
Monkton, will also go West the same
day intending to visit at Earl Grey and
other points.

Belmont, Man., have been here on a visit
at the home of Thos. Alcock, 14th con.
Mrs. £4argnis is a sister to Mrs. Alcock.
It is 17 years since she left here. They
are welcome visitors.

Communication from the Inspector of
Prisons and Pablio Charities received,
showing a list of patients whom it is al-
leged were residents of the township
prior to their admission to the Asylum,
and whom it is further alleged are
chargeable to the township.—Filed,
Chris. Johnson presented a petition
for the construction of a Municipal Drain
at Lots E?i, S3.;, 41, and S3, 4a,
Con. 5, W32, 42, Con 4. The petition
was granted and the clerk instructed to
notify the Engineer to examine the
locality described and make his report
thereon.
Applications for the office of Collector
of taxes were received from John H.
McClinton and Cyrus W. Scott, Re-
solved that John H. McClinton be reap-
pointed at his former salary of 365 00.

$2614 40. Resolved, that a further sum
of $2521 for towntbhip purposes, officers
salaries, etc , and $3500 for special
